The room was okay overall, and the staff was fantastic! The breakfast buffet was pretty typical of what you’d expect at a hotel. Unfortunately, the pool and hot tub were both ice cold, and there was some grime around the top of both. The shower also wasn’t the best, and the hot water ran out pretty quickly. The hotel was very busy, which was understandable given that it’s a convention center. Despite some of the issues with the amenities, the staff was great and definitely a highlight of our stay!

Needs major updating. Elevators broken, toilets lacked water pressure, so we could not flush it back to back. Just really lacked any "nice" things. But the bed was comfortable and the TV worked, so if you don't mind decades-old carpet that makes you wish you'd packed your house shoes, three stars it is!

Nice older hotel. It must have been a jewel in late 90's early 2000's. Elevators to north towers were out of service during my stay. I had to take old service elevator that wasn't clearly marked. My room had a king bed that was worn out. Very soft and when laying flat I would lean towards the center. I really enjoyed the main common area. Breakfast area was peaceful and attractive.

The property was great and had lots of character. The indoor courtyard was awesome. The continental breakfast held in the courtyard was wonderful. The room was clean and the water pressure was perfect. 10 out of 10 would stay there again.

The atrium was a scene from a 1920s movie architecture. We liked it. The public areas were a little dark. With all the dark wood there needs to be lighter walls and brighter lighting. The elevator was well worn with broken floor button panel that didn't light up. But the ride was fairly smooth. In the room, the desk light and the wall light only lit up half the lights. I could not tell if the AC or heat unit was running. I upped the thermostat to 74 to prepare for the 38 degree night temps. We woke up to 62 degrees in the morning! The beds were very comfortable. I don't like the duvet/coverlet. I would like to had a choice of another blanket in the room.

Easy booking Friendly helpful staff Easy access to room much appreciated as I need a cane and can't walk long distances. The room smelled so clean..we were close to the pool and enjoyed the sound of the water and kids playing in the pool.. The free breakfast was delicious, good coffee and lots of choices to choose from..we enjoyed the atmosphere and all the different areas..especially the stairs going down to lower level. This was our 2nd time staying there. We will be back if we have to be in Topeka overnight again..

Wish they had more carts to bring your luggage to your room it was a long walk since so many elevators weren’t working the room for Ice on the 7th floor needed a good cleaning the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good needed more variety since we were there 3 days it was the same every morning.

The atrium is kept up nice and is easily the shining jewel of the hotel. However, they put me in the north tower which once you leave the atrium is creepy and dirty. Floors haven't been vacuumed in a quite some time, walls are in a state of disrepair, and elevator floor was drenched in water. My mattress must have been from the original launch date of the hotel as it was incredibly uncomfortable. Oh, they also need some security on the property as I was approached by a disturbed woman in the parking lot who rambled on incoherently with racist slurs. Staff was nice, atrium is great, they just need to stop booking people in the north tower if they aren't going to update the property.

It was a quiet stay. The overhang entering the hotel is an eyesore. My friend who lives there said it was in the getto part. Sure did not look like it to me. I never felt unsafe. Just like anywhere else, don't make yourself be a target

This was a great deal! The place was clean, comfortable and quiet. It is an older place but it looks like they are in the process of updating it. Also, we had trouble finding it based on using the address. When we gps’d the hotel using the name, we found it.
