The hotel itself was great - large, spacious rooms, including a full soaking tub and huge shower, very clean and comfortable room. We had a small balcony to enjoy the views. Staff was very nice and helpful. Only a 5 minute walk to the Bastille where we enjoyed riding the cable cars up the mountain for an amazing view. However, the immediate area outside the hotel and throughout the city, we did not feel safe - even in the daytime. Do you research on crime and the sections to avoid. We made the mistake of walking from the train station to the hotel, but took an uber on the way back because we did not want to venture out, It's a shame because this city has so much potential. Even in the local coffee shop, there are signs on the table inside to be aware of pickpockets.

"The hotel was very comfortable with a nice room. We had a separate lounge area, making it very comfortable and easy to relax. Only disappointment was insufficient hot water in the evening to take baths, though plenty in the morning. Dinner in restaurant was very nice and the breakfast buffet good. ..."
