From the moment you enter the hotel, you’re greeted by a strong odor of greasy fried food and Pine-Sol. The smell is present on every floor and is extremely overwhelming. The rooms also do not look like the pictures shown on the website. On some nights, the entire front lobby was completely dark, as there was no staff available after around 11:00 p.m. There was no cable available—not even local channels. When we checked in, there was already a used roll of toilet paper in our bathroom. To make matters worse, there was loud music, or what sounded like karaoke, playing until well after 12:30 a.m. I usually stay at the Fort George Hotel in Belize City, but I decided to give this new property a chance. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience. Never again. I’ll be returning to the Fort George. Beyond low budget
