room was clean and fresh, staff welcoming, breakfast area excellent

Clean room, everything worked. Bathroom stocked, coffee stocked. Clean carpet and furniture.

The house is cute, but a little rickety (appropriate given its age). The Silver Suite was spacious with partial views to the outside and a comfortable bed. However, upon check-in we found that the dirty bed linens had not been changed after the previous guest.

The hotel staff-named Vanessa, set the pace for ease of stay with courteous and warm reception. She obliged me with every details for memorable stays. In fact she earned the hotel my 5-star rating. However, my assigned room was neatly arranged, the bathroom cleaned, and kitchen was provided with necessary items. The only minus was unavailability of breakfast, except coffee/tea. Unlike other Candlewood hotels which I have stayed in the past, Washington Fairfax lacked breakfast option, so also lacked in-door relaxation space away from own-hotel room.

Front desk was amazing couldn’t help us enough with a nightmare flight. Made things a lot easier.
