My husband and I really enjoyed our 2-night stay here. Beautiful location with plenty to do in the area, and the Fairy Falls was stunning after the recent heavy rain. The sound of the river outside the property was very relaxing. The breakfast and evening meal were excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and they couldn't do enough for us during our stay.

Great stay but was bit noisy at the mitning when the family/couple upstairs woke up earlier ha. But overall, was a great experiance and will book there again.

Great place to stay. Only thing I’d say is the mattress needs updating as very soft and springy and decent sized cups would have been good. Didn’t detract though and would stay again.

Enjoyable stay
Room was clean, bed comfortable, room could do with some soundproofing. Bathroom needs a little TLC, taps a bit stiff. Excellent food in the restaurant. Good value for money hotel.

Okay if you’re in a pinch
I definitely wouldn’t opt to stay here given a variety of choice - but that wasn’t the case on this trip. We’d left it last minute and it was the only place available. The bedding was clean, and the door was lockable and secure. Lots of nice surface touches like free soap and biscuits, but big problems with soundproofing (bring earplugs for noisy pub goers/people snoring in the rooms adjacent), mould everywhere in the bathroom (ceiling, shelves, tub), and no hot water if any of the other rooms are using it). Felt very much like staying in my nan’s spare room, very dated. Perks are it’s a short walk to the Fairy Falls and there’s free parking if you arrive early enough to grab a spot.

Nice hotel
Nice dog friendly hotel. Helpful & friendly staff. We had a lovely one night stay, some kids were running about on the veranda for a while which was a little loud in the room but we'd forgotten it was the school holidays. A few little things would've made it perfect, like towel hooks on the bathroom door, coat hooks by the door and a more powerful shower but we had a lovely stay. The room & bathroom were clean, tidy and decorated very nicely. Plenty of walks right from the doorstep.

Great stay at reasonable rates
Lovely welcome when checking in, being able to check in early was a bonus. Room was clean, tidy and very warm on a cold day. Room was big enough for a double and a single and our large dog could fit in easily too. The restaurant, pub and sports bar allowed dogs and the food was lovely especially the breakfast. Although the rooms opened out onto the small car park, there was no noise in the evening and so we enjoyed a comfortable nights sleep. Will definitely be visiting again.

The room was a good size with large double bed and roomy bathroom. It was very cosy and warm. Perhaps could have done with an extra chair as there was only one in the room. Service was very good with friendly staff.

Unfortunately I had a knee operation 2 weeks before our stay, the staff were very considerate and helped me throughout our stay. The evening meal was excellent (steak and stilton pie)

Had a wonderful stay. The staff were really friendly and could not do enough to make us comfortable. The hotel, bar and restaurant are truly dog friendly.

It was just a night away from everything. I think we finally found a place to stay happily with our dog. They had everything we needed. our dog was happy to sleep in our room without making any fuss. We enjoyed our tasty dinner at night and very good breakfast the next morning. It wasnt too noisy by the bar. It seems everyone was enjoying the night. We had lovely walks to the falls and around the hotel. We have already booked another night next month! ;););)

Enjoyed a great one night stay at Fairy Falls, our first night away with the new born was easy and we were well looked after in the restaurant. Food was great, we’ll worth popping in even if you’re not staying.

Ideal location for travelling around the surrounding areas & Fairy Falls literally across the road. Easy check in, good sized room with All the amenities required & Free parking outside. Staff were excellent in customer service ( in particular Ela who worked her socks off in the bar / dining area ) & Nikki too behind the bar. Meals were delicious & well presented. Will definitely be returning in the very near future

Wonderful staff, excellent food, great location, very clean and large rooms, comfy beds. Can't praise the staff enough, they were wonderful. Decor is a bit dated but is to be expected as an older property. Rooms weren't during the stay even with the "please clean room" outside but that might be a covid change, not sure.

This is a hidden gem! We’d booked & then had to cancel on several occasions due to Covid, but finally got to stay in August. The room was lovely, clean, comfy (I have 2 large dogs that were with me) and had everything you need. The pub itself was characterful and in keeping with its history & surroundings. The food was excellent! And the staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We (my dogs & I) were made to feel extremely welcome. We will definitely be recommending it and we will definitely going back. It’s lovely!
