The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes’ walk from the U‑Bahn station, which made getting around very easy. Breakfast offered plenty of choice, so it was easy to set yourself up for the day. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, but I rated the stay three stars because the breakfast staff were noticeably less welcoming. One lady in particular frequently raised her voice at guests who were in her way and seemed constantly irritated, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. We stayed in a queen room with a balcony, which we appreciated because the rooms were very hot and the air conditioning didn’t seem to work. The downside was the noise from the trains every few minutes, though we eventually got used to it — and with the windows closed, you don’t hear them. The room itself was spacious with a large walk‑in shower. The biggest disappointment was the bed. The mattress was extremely hard, and neither of us managed a restful night’s sleep; we both woke up stiff each morning. Overall: great location, good breakfast options, and a large room. If you like very firm mattresses, this hotel might suit you — but unless the mattress situation changes, we wouldn’t stay again, which is a pity.

The location is superb, minutes from the railway station with direct trains to the airport. You are right in the heart of berlin with just short walks to most of the main sites that you want to see. The managed suites are large and comfortable with everything you could possible need for a break. They even include a yoga mat, should you be inclined. Along with the additional benefit of a small kitchenette should you have the wish to do any cooking. Restaurant Facil serves excellent food and for a two Michelin star restaurant the prices are very reasonable.
