Tresana, a small town in the heart of Lunigiana just a few kilometres from the Aulla toll plaza, is nestled in the countryside, perched on a hill with the ruins of a castle. The surrounding landscape features many trails and scenic roads. Streams flow through its valley. Don’t miss the Villa di Tresana Castle, which has been completely restored and is a sight of rare beauty.
We are also located along a section of the Via Francigena route; walking it today here in Lunigiana is a unique experience that allows you to relive the emotions of ancient pilgrims. The succession of nature trails, villages, parish churches, and castles creates a unique landscape waiting to be explored. In the local restaurants, you can enjoy local cured meats, mushrooms, “taglierini” pasta, soups, grilled meats and game, apple pie, “buccellato,” and other homemade desserts.
