"The room was very dirty. Stains on the carpet, walls, chair and window. Everything just seemed really run down in the rooms and hallways. Staff was very kind but it needs major TLC."

"Great home with a historic feel and lots of space (and entertainments) for a family/group much larger than ours. The location was perfect for our event at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center.Parents should be aware that staircases are steep and there are lots of tippy or breakable items within easy toddler reach of the ground, but a quick baby-proofing pass and vigilance made it a fun space for our child to explore."

"The pool was very clean and well heated when we stayed in early January. The host was extremely responsive to any questions I had before arrival and while we were there. There were plenty of paper products and coffee was included. The listing is not accurate with regard to sizes of beds in the bedrooms (no rooms actually have 2 queens, three rooms have a queen and a twin) which led to some issues fitting parents and two elementary age kids in the same room. I do agree with earlier reviewers that contractors did not install everything properly (dishwasher not secured and tips forward when unloading the bottom rack, toilet in bathroom near the pool not well secured to the floor and moves when you sit/stand). "

"I love this property and am so grateful to have stayed a second time. Chrissy is a wonderful host with a well maintained space. Someone came to shovel the walk when it snowed, which was deeply appreciated. "
