I booked a property through Expedia and Vrbo and was promptly charged the full amount I was happy to pay. However, while on my way to the property with my wife and two kids, the host messaged me that the property wasn’t available. This message came after the host had already taken the money from my account. This situation completely ruined our plans and we ended up wasting valuable time searching for alternative accommodations. As of now, I still haven’t received a refund. This host is a scam - avoid at all costs.
