"The room is cosy and comfortable, with plenty of parking spaces in both the front and back of the building. The made-to-order breakfast was very good, although it doesn’t start until 8:30 a.m. The location is convenient—about a 10-minute walk to town and a 15-minute walk to the lakeside."

"You cannot fault the location of the hotel, within easy walking distance of the centre of Keswick. The staff are wonderful. I asked for a cocktail the bar steward wasn't aware of. However, when I to the bar the following evening, he'd looked up what was in it and was able to make me one. The food is very good, with a good choice and the dining staff are very professional. However what does let the hotel down is the interior decoration. It is very tired and worn and defiantly needs an upgrade."

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Large car park round the back of the hotel which even boasts some of the wall from the fort on Hadrian's wall. Also there is a section of the wall in the hotel reception. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit Carlisle."

"Staff were amazing, hotel was very old though. Just the 1 small lift. Gutters were overflowing when it rained. But location is class. Car parking is a massive issue however that’s not really the hotel fault but Just one to be aware of, although the hotels answer to the parking issue is to charge you £25 to use their car park but even that gets full by 1100. So plan ahead for parking. Breakfast is nice. Overall a good stay with amazing staff but just a very aging hotel with signs money has dried up."
