"The hotel is very tired, but the owners are trying to tidy it up and decorate.
The facilities in the bedroom were poor, nowhere to hang clothes, curtains don't close tv didn't work.
Having said that, it is only rated a 2 star and I will certainly stay again both for the quirkiness and the lovely staff."

"My wife and I had a great pit stop at Rose and Crown. Very clean and well maintained property. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in after a long day's travel and sightseeing. The self-serve continental breakfast was equally good. Highly recommend!"

"Beautiful old building dated 1642 but tastefully restored inside. Lovely rooms, delicious food. Richard is a great host. Will definitely return when we come back to the area."

"The room was very spacious and comfortable everything and more was provided for our stay. Was offered a cream tea on arrival which of course we excepted. There was a great choice at breakfast. Terri was a wonderful host full of local knowledge. Would highly recommend. Crosscombe was a lovely village with a great pub serving good food. There was a bar at the b and b."

"Comfy bed, spacious room, friendly staff, great location (short walk to Farro Bakery ☺️)! Honestly, no flaws can be found in the room/ customer service/ check in procedure! Will definitely pick Moxy again if I visit Bristol"
"Check in was quick, got in slightly earlier than advertised. Helpful staff. Ended up being upgraded to a family room with two beds, which was a bit unnecessary.
Room was ok, surprised how poor the fittings are despite the age of the hotel. Desk chair completely ripped up, cupboards bashed. Stripped back beds and both had black marks over the sheets, housekeeping changed them asap but shouldn’t have been that way to start with.
No towel rail except one over the bath so you have to go around the door if you want to dry your hands, no other place to put it. No coat hooks, would have to put them in the wardrobe which isn’t ideal
Had breakfast for one morning, good selection and quality. Refilled often, can also have it made to order and brought to you. Staff were quick to clean up. Bar staff also great and attentive
Overall a good stay, if only the rooms were as well looked after as the staff."
"Location is fantastic, very close to the major touristic locations but just off the centre enough to be quiet. Room was spacious and th bed very comfortable. Breakfast was pretty standard, wished they had a bit more variety but that is just personal preference. Staff were all very friendly and helpful."
