When you arrive, you will be greeted by that classic cabin exterior, yet as soon as you step inside you will realize this getaway is anything but your average mountain retreat. Contemporary furnishings, tastefully decorated, and floor-to-ceiling windows are just scratching the surface when it comes to reasons why this home is so special. When everyone has had their fill of skiing, hiking, or exploring downtown Truckee, there will be no delay in relaxing with a home-cooked meal, as the fully equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a gas range, and beautiful countertops to assist with preparing any recipe. A small work desk is available if you need to get some work done while enjoying the view. Kick back in the living area next to the warmth of the gas fireplace and stream favorite movies on the flat screen TV as days come to a close. Or, summer nights can easily be spent out on the deck for a family cookout.



    Things to Know

    EV charger is available for guest use in the carport equipped with a free to use L2 NEMA 14-50 outlet (not available at this time due to renovation).

    4WD/traction may be required in winter

    This home is not currently participating in the Tahoe Donner Guest Pass program. As such, guests at this home are not able to use the Tahoe Donner Amenities.

Wonderful!

It is cozy, comfortable and has every amenity I needed. Perfect for a workation/vacation. It is in an ideal location, on the mountain with all the resort benefits of the community, easy access to all recreational activities, town, ski resorts & Lake Tahoe. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Loved this charming and comfortable small cabin. The furnishings and decor were cute, which is often not the case with mountain vacation rentals. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-outfitted. There were several nice places to sit outside and enjoy and cup of coffee or glass of wine, including the hot tub next to the house. This cabin is perfect for a small family or group of friends. We hope to visit again.

Nice quality items in the house, simple and modern decor, great view out the front windows to trees, lovely space behind the house. Thoughtful extras provided - wool blankets, great kitchen appliances, grill, hot tub. Relatively quiet street and friendly neighbors with happy dogs.

This rental experience was a nightmare. We learned upon arrival that our reservation had been canceled 24 hrs earlier because we didn’t fill out identity confirmation forms sent by Vacasa (I was no looking for emails from Vacasa because I have never rented from them, I booked through VRBO). I received no call and nothing in the VRBO app indicated it was cancelled. After spending 2 hrs in a freezing car with kids, on the phone with VRBO (utterly unhelpful) as midnight approached, we had the idea of REBOOKING through Vacasa. Did that. Hoot tub was out of service and we called Vacasa about that. They said it had been out of service for months, and that the Vacasa listing didn’t include hot-tub. We explained that the hot-tub was the reason we chose this house in VRBO but they gave us no compensation because our (desperation midnight re-booking) booking was not via VRBO! Nightmare all around.
