Donner Lake Village is near plenty of spots for hiking, skiing, or snowboarding. After getting back from hiking or skiing, guests of the Donner Lake Village can wind down in the on-site sauna. This is a great option instead of a motel for your stay in the area. Very quiet clean and beautiful location are good reasons to stay here. Be advised though, there are no staff available at the facility and no one answered or returned my phone call. If you have issues like I did with the building entry code, you’re on your own.

Overall just fine

The property location was great as far as ease of getting there, on the lake and proximity to things.It was noisy at night specifically when any neighboring rooms turned their water on for a shower or bath. It is a very cool older property, but b/c of that, it is a bit run down. Most of the outlets did not hold cords without falling out, it was well loved and simply could benefit from a refresh. Overall it was a solid choice to stay for a couple of nights.
