Great family spot

Property is clean and has basic necessities. Overlooking the village with a great view. Each room has its own bathroom and that was the cherry on top with 7 family members staying together. Overall it was a great trip ! 15 min from kings beach and 15 min from downtown truckee. Perfect location!

Perfect place for family

I have stayed at many places in the village, but by far this unit was the best one. Very spacious, clean , beautiful balcony and the host was very responsive and accommodating.

This property was incredible. Great views of Mountain and ice skating rink. Lots of activities nearby. House was clean and well maintained! Underground parking amazing!

Ski in/out

Great place to stay if you want to stay in the village. Check in was super easy, parking was ten feet from the elevator (which opens directly into the room) and plenty of space for 3 adults and 3 kids.

A wonderful family & friend vacation

Perfect location, spacious rooms, lots of kitchen/bathroom supplies. The host was very accommodating, allowing us to reschedule due to weather advisory. Would definitely come back in the future.

We loved staying here, a lot more spacious than we expected. The home was well stocked with condiments, pillows, blankets, towels. Property manager was extremely kind and let us check out late. The amenities on site you can’t beat - always something going on. Restaurants are all delicious.

Great place to visit with family

What a welcoming place. We were in town for a family wedding. From the moment we stepped off the elevator straight into the condo, we enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space to spread out, extremely well appointed kitchen with everything you need to host a family dinner and cooling AC to escape the summer heat Nice deck overlooks the rink, rec center access with lots of activities and great underground parking It’s also very easy for an elder relative with rollator to get around I look forward to planning another stay here

Nice place… needs a few minor maintenance items.

There place and location were great! Perfect for a week at Northstar with family and friends. We’d book again… super convenience and comfortable. Our only suggestion is that they need some wine glasses and the microwave didn’t seem to work. Otherwise, all was terrific!

Great location overlooking ice skating rink

Check in was smooth, the elevator opens directly into the place. It was very clean and updated. First time doing ski in ski out and didn't realize how invaluable it is. Bringing my kids back during a break and then going right back up was a great experience. Will definitely be staying again

Best Location in the Village!

Adult Girl Ski Trip. Accomodatins were perfect. Loved the balcony overlooking the village and hearing the music and activity! Unit was more spacious than the photos. We've never had a private elevator open up to the entry before! Very VIP!!!

This property is beautiful, as advertised - great size for our family. Beds were amazing and comfy. The smoke alarm was a little touchy and went off every time we opened the oven, but other that that it couldn't have been more perfect. We would love to come back and stay again. Perfect family ski lodging

Wonderful location overlooking the Northstar ice rink. Ski storage locker on the first floor is great for keeping your equipment. Two minute walk to the lifts. Also very nice underground parking with easy access to the elevator that goes directly into your room - no trudging down the hallway with all your gear. Unit is in good condition for a ski village - a few dings but nothing major. Nice kitchen appliances, the gas oven worked perfectly. Well stocked kitchen for all of our cooking and a convenient mini grocery store just a 2 minute walk away for getting supplies. Hard to imagine a much better spot for a family ski trip!

Fabulous location

Super location and resort. Very nice and big apartment with just a few minor issues that did not cause terrible inconvenience: keys deactivating and getting locked out; few broken things: wine cooler and ice maker not functioning. Nicely appointed otherwise and appreciate items like soap, tp, shampoo, condiments. Wish there were washcloths and a sponge or kitchen rags. Not within control of owner but renters should be aware is that if there is a big snow as there was with us a few days, you will be woken up by the snow removal trucks/ equipment at 3am and it continues until dawn. It’s understandable and appreciated, but others may not be aware this will happen. We would definitely return!

Amazing Roomy Unit With the Best Location

This VRBO was perfect for us! I cannot recommended it enough - we will definitely be rebooking. It was perfect for size, location, convenience, luxury and logistics!We all know that skiing involves a lot of schlepping so to find a vrbo that eliminated so much of the schlepping was a game changer for us! When you stay at this unit you get to park in the garage under the northstar village, in the garage there are free carts available to haul your stuff and the elevator goes right to your unit! Additionally you get a ski locker on the lobby floor so that you don’t have to bring them up and down. The lobby of this unit is a 2 minute walk to the gondola - so short our 5 year old didn’t even mind carrying his skis! The unit has a balcony that overlooks the ice rinks so you get to enjoy great views while listening to the live music! There was enough space for my family of 5 and 2 grandparents! We loved it!

Great family spot in Northstar

We had never stayed at the Northstar Village before and the whole resort felt very swanky and fun! The unit was beautiful with a fun cabin vibe and the location was so convenient with a great view of the skating rink. The rooms and living area were good sized and each room had an en-suite. We really enjoyed the resort amenities (gym, pool, etc.). The check in process was a bit confusing in that there are 4 possible places to check in, we found it on the third try. The unit was mostly clean, but the third bedroom had sheets that smelled like body odor and the bunk beds had broken steps. We also nearly ran out of toilet paper. Communication with the owner was delayed, but they were super accommodating and let us check out early. All in all we would definitely stay there again.

The property owner provided no instructions on how to check in, wifi etc. the elevator broke for 48 hours and the owner provided no Keys/access to the property when the elevator was down. I paid thousands for a unit with no key access? I had to track down management on site and they had no extra keys to provide either. I would NOT stay here again.

The condo is in a great location and is nice enough, but when we arrived the kitchen and hall were covered in water. We cleaned it up and called the owner and sent him photos. There was a pot under the sink to catch the water so someone clearly knew there’s a major leak. There were also hard water stains on the floor where you could see this had happened before. Maintenance came just to conclude there was nothing they can do as the whole faucet needed to be replaced. We shut the water off and just weren’t able to use the main sink. There was a smaller bar sink so we made do. Just weird the owner stopped responding and just let us figure it out I guess. Additionally, we found garbage around the condo from the prior guests and there are various things that need fixing. The seal on the fridge and freezer isn’t very good so things aren’t as cold as they should be, there were screen doors not connected to tracks, and some of the lights didnt work. It’s just not very well kept. The whole experience was kinda strange.All that said the village is awesome and the condo overlooks the skating rink. We also loved that each room had its own bathroom.

Garbage.

I’ve used VRBO for over a decade and never had such a bad experience as I did at this rental. The location was: Dirty: Meat juices and onion on cutting boards; Rooms not vacuumed Worn: Paint and carpet are trashed; Missing towel holders; Broken toilet paper holders Disrepair: Broken TVs; Broken audio equipment The Father seemed trustworthy but the Son is absolutely terrible. Refuses to pick-up the phone and/or return an email. Do yourself a favor: Spend your money elsewhere.
