"Lovely clean room and shower facilities , in room tea and coffee facilities provided, good WiFi and TV, excellent customer service and friendly helpful staff, would definitely stay in this hotel again"

"The entrance of the hotel and bar area are excellent however the rooms could do with a refresh. Broken tiles in bathroom and stains on carpets and lamp shades. These didn’t detract from our stay at all. The staff are fantastic and extremely helpful. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We had pizza, steak sandwich and kids curry and couldn’t finish it!. Portions are great and so tasty. Kids curry would feed an adult no problem! The rooms are quiet enough however the fan in the bathroom will wake everyone up in the middle of the night if you get up to go to the loo. The noise from the road outside was also quite bad at times but not really the hotels fault. pool area is excellent and welcoming to kids. The rules around wearing caps in the pool are very loose although the staff at the pool make it sound like it’s mandatory and made us purchase a cap, once into the pool these rules only seemed to apply to some. Plenty people in pool with no cap on and staff not saying a word. That was quite annoying and seemed like a way to just make an extra €4. The pool is great but again could do with some maintenance. This hotel and pool area love a laminated sign. They are everywhere with instructions on shoe bootys , caps and diving etc but not enforced. It’s as if a manager has bought an A4 laminator and is getting theirs moneys worth from it. It does make the pool area a little cheaper looking. Having said all that I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again."

"Hotel staff are up to 4 star quality but the hotel itself is tired looking. There is cracks and chips in the painted walls and the carpets have stains from continuous use over time that has not been kept well. The rooms are nice but there’s nothing really special you wouldn’t get from your ordinary travel lodge style hotels, plus the pillows on my bed smelled of old body odour. The pool was quiet small and had a really loud aqua aerobics class on at 7 in the evening taking up all the swimming lanes which made it really uncomfortable. The menus in the bar are covered in stains and the offering was basic for the value. It’s fine for a corporate stop over but it’s definitely not the luxurious hotel itself tries to display."

"Lovely clean room, I arrived late so on arriving reception closed had to go to bar. Bar tender checked me in didn’t realise no lift . The room looked newly decorated, unable to get the aircon to work so ended up opening window as unable to contact staff and no fan. The bed was very comfy however I am sleep deprived as the shower head dripped constantly and the bathroom smelt damp which is why I have not scored higher also hairdryer provided did not have a plug to fit any socket and no iron provides a shame as I really wanted to score higher."

"Beautiful hotel. Beautiful grounds. Breakfast was good, lovely quality bacon, but I hate that cheap cardboard hotel bread. Why would a lovely hotel like this one not invest a bit more in nice bread for breakfast toast. However, they are not alone in this crime. But everything else was 100% 🙂"

"Interesting property. I stayed in one of the wings of the main house on the 1st floor. The room was fine (the artwork in the wings and bedrooms was very incongruent to the grandeur of the main house…), pillows were really thin, and they felt a bit dated but comfortable. The windows were really small. The main section of the house/public spaces were beautiful. One thing I found odd were the number of influencers there making content, perhaps for the new spa?"
