"This is a vintage hotel built in the mid 1800's. It is a bed and breakfast in the middle of town. We enjoyed the old feel and obvious age of the property. Located on a main street, we stayed in room 11, one of the original to the building. An extra large room with two queen size beds.(mattresses needed upgrading, but bedding was cute.) The rolling floor keeps you guessing which way to turn in the room. The charming glass windows are still original to the building, we sat in the rocking chairs on the front porch, and aired out the room, while waiting for friends to join us. Water pressure was great in the bathroom. Breakfast was fine, but the most enjoyable was the camaraderie in the dinning room. There was a casual vibe and we enjoyed talking to the other folks that had ventured to stay in this interesting and original place. The first two story building in Sonora built by Dr. Gunn."

" We booked here because there would be a breakfast every morning and they had a pool. I turned out that the pool was not yet open for the season... it would have been nice to know that. Breakfast does not start until 8am. Which seems fairly absurd considering the main thing to do around here is outdoorsy stuff and people want an early start. We had to leave at 7:30 both days of our stay so we didn't get to enjoy that amenity either. The room was fairly spacious but everything was pretty run down. The area behind the beds was not well swept. They do not clean the rooms every day which is another amenity I enjoy when staying at a motel so that was sort of a disappointment. The rooms do have a coffee maker, microwave, and good sized mini fridge. The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. She let me borrow a bottle opener for the night when I needed one. She got us new towels with no problem. We were on a tight budget for this trip and you get what you pay for I guess. I just wish they hadn't advertised some amenities that were not actually available or were limited. "

"This wasn't very basic motel level hotel as there not a lot of places to stay in that area. This worked well for overnight road trip. Stay for us.. They had offered a breakfast but it was in a very tiny room serving two buildings and we barely could get a bottle of water. "

"The room was clean and had just enough room for our overnight stay. Parking is great and discounts for local food was certainly helpful."

"We were greeted at the front desk by wonderful staff. So very friendly. Our room was clean, and well furnished. The bed was comfortable. I have mobility problems and our room accommodated for that. We were able to keep the room temperature perfect, as I’m always to hot or to cold. We will stay here again for sure!"

"Perfect place to stay in Sonora! Location was ideal, very neat and clean, comfy beds, great communication with the owner, Radim. We nicknamed the house, The Tree House. The outside porch we utilized the whole time. Beautiful view with lots of wildlife, surrounded by gorgeous big trees. Would definitely stay here again!"
