Stunning timber frame lake house with boathouse, game room. Sleeps 10.

Camp Kidura is a great destination for families or friends looking for a beautiful escape to relax and explore. With four bedrooms, two lofts and three full baths, this new, luxurious and comfortable Adirondack style home comfortably sleeps 10. Built for entertainment purposes, Camp Kidura has a custom-built kitchen that opens to the great room where it is hard-to miss the spectacular views of the lake and mountains through a wall of windows. The kitchen is fully-equipped and has granite counters with custom, Douglas fir cabinets.

For the warmer days: we have a wrap around deck on the first level of the house, plus a second story deck off of bedroom #2. to provide outdoor living spaces. Plus a stunning rooftop deck on the boathouse - perfect for enjoying an evening meal, or simply enjoying the view.

For the cooler days, we have a large stone fireplace and two wood burning stoves, as well as radiant floor heat.

• Panther Mountain hike – a scenic 1.6 mile round trip hike with spectacular views.
• The new 'Wild Center', the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks is just minutes away.
• A leisurely canoe ride can take you to explore Upper Saranac Lake, or visit Chapel Island.
• Olympic Village of Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain are about 30-40 minutes away.
• Historic town of Saranac Lake is a short, 10 - 15 minute drive.
• The Visitor Interpretation Center at Paul Smith’s College is also a short drive.
• The Adirondack Museum is about 45 minutes to an hour away providing a rich and interactive way to learn about the rugged and therapeutic history of this vast state park.

Camp Kidura includes wireless, high-speed internet access (for those that want it), a laundry area with washer and dryer, cable television and smart TV to connect your streaming services, linens and housekeeping at the end of your stay provided.

It is with great excitement and anticipation that we began our memorable times in the Adirondacks. We have built it for years of family fun and memories in mind. We share our home in hopes of other families creating and sharing memories, like ours, for years to come.

Camp Kidura was named after two brothers who, on a slow afternoon at work one day, decided to finally realize their dream Adirondack home after a childhood of only visiting.

An absolutely beautiful property!

Everything was fantastic except the loft bed was not very comfy. Other than that the property and house are first rate. The owner was helpful and we had no problems! Thanks Allison, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Perfect!

Camp Kidura is absolutely beyond wonderful! I brought some friends up to the ADKs to introduce them to the area for the weekend and we had a a lovely time. We came with all sort of plans for weekend activities but the house was so inviting that we somehow managed to not leave it for our entire stay! It's cozy, clean, and very well laid out. I highly highly recommend and am so glad we have an excuse to come back!

Great Lake view house

Really nice house with beautiful lake views. High quality kitchen. We rented a pontoon boat from Dunn’s to explore the lake which I highly recommend. Boat gas is currently available by boat at Hickoks although this may be their last year - it is for sale. There is no AC and it would have been nice if there were window fans available, especially in the room above the kitchen.

Beautiful fall getaway

We totally enjoyed our weekend in this lovely Adirondack property! It was such an attractive and comfortable place to be with friends to enjoy the fall beauty of the Adirondacks; also the owner was quite accommodating and everything in the house was "just so". We are so glad to have the chance to stay here!

Beautiful property to enjoy fall foliage, friends and loons

We had our annual mother daughter weekend this year at this beautiful property. There was plenty of outdoor and indoor space for all 5 of us to be together but sleep separately. The home is well equipped. Given the slower season we had total privacy despite other camps being very close. We highly recommend!

Fantastic introduction to the ADKs

We rented this property in conjunction with a family wedding. It was the perfect venue for us, all of whom were visiting the ADKs for the first time. The property was lovely and the views were spectacular. And the proximity to the fantastic Wild Center in Tupper Lake was perfect for the younger members of our clan. Our only wish is to have had more time there. We would highly recommend!

Amazing

We can’t begin to say enough great things about the home. Alison the owner was so helpful, Victoria the property manager was so nice she even arranged a grocery delivery for us. The home is even better than the pictures, beautiful views from every room of the house. Extremely clean and fully stocked for absolutely anything you could need. The boat house was amazing, fish off the dock, canoe, kayak or play shuffleboard in the game room, the roof top deck is great for lake views. We would absolutely recommend Camp Kidura and we will be back again. Thank you Alison and Victoria, what a beautiful home

Beautiful Lake House for a Family Reunion

Camp Kidura is a beautiful home in great condition in a wonderful location. The sheltered cove right out front is perfect for little kids swimming and adults wading. Amenities include canoes, a game room, and a wonderful patio overlooking the lake. Everyone will find something they like here.

Beautiful Home with Amazing Views of the Lake!

Just returned home from a great stay over President’s Day weekend at Camp Kidura. Great home with plenty of room for the whole group. Great views of the frozen lake. Kids had lots of fun playing on the lake. Hoping to return in the Summer to enjoy all the House has to offer during that season.

Tranquility on the lake

Camp Kidura is fantastic! The home itself is beautifully built. Inside is nicely and comfortably furnished. The kitchen has every gadget you could possibly need. The camp is right on the water and I highly recommend spending time on the boat house deck. Easy trips to Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain. In the evening the call of the loons is an Adirondack lullaby. If you're looking for a place to sit back and unwind this camp should be at the top of your list.

Overall very nice!

We had a lovely time staying at this home with our family. The water and the view were beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean upon arrival! The large boathouse/deck was great for hanging out by the water with our large family and for docking the boat we rented for the week. Allison was great to work with, as were all the caretakers of the home we met throughout the week! Our only complaints were the beds/linens were not very comfortable, the close proximity to the neighbors, and the outside furniture was not very comfortable and some of it was falling apart. Some loungers and newer chairs would have been great to sit out and enjoy the water. Also, there was no large tv in the main house for everyone to sit around at night and watch. Overall we had a wonderful time with our family enjoying beautiful Upper Saranac Lake!

The home was everything the owner portrayed. Allison was easy to work with.

We had a great time. We were greeted with pastries on our arrival. The views were amazing!! Lots of room for us to gather or spread out. Everything worked well and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fantastic Lake Front Adirondack Home

We just returned home from a fantastic weekend at this home. Thw location is perfectly located on the lake. We can see a future return trip on the horizon late summer early fall. The home is conveniently located within 30 minutes of lake placid and 40 minutes to whiteface. The kitchen is well appointed and has plenty of room for evening meals, entertaining and cocktails. For our next trip to this area we will consider renting this home again.

Amazing house right on a part of Saranac Lake!

Our group stayed at Camp Kidura for an extended weekend get away. From the pictures alone the place looked amazing. When we got there we were even more impressed. The house is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of open space and had everything we would have ever needed. The views around the house in the winter and looking out over the lake were amazing. There are plenty of books and games to keep everyone occupied. The kitchen was very nice and well equipped to cook for decent sized groups. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Camp Kidura for anyone who wants to stay directly on a lake.

Perfect Adirondack Get Away Home!!

Where do we begin! We were a party of 10( 3 families 6 adults and 4 grown children) attending a family wedding at the Wild Center and lucked upon finding Camp Kidura to call home for a long weekend. Home is exactly what it felt like! The moment we walked in the door we were simply in awe! The house is impeccable!! Looks brand new! Stunning views of the Lake! Rooms so inviting and cozy! So many great spaces to hang out for such a large group! Boat house and the deck on top were one of our favorite spots to just hang out! The kitchen is well stocked with all you would need. Bedrooms and bathrooms are so tastefully decorated and comfortable! Love the heated floors!! Such a private location too.... never saw anyone else around us! We can't say enough about Camp Kidura, it was sad to leave but hope to return someday!! Thank you, to the owner Allison as well, your communication throughout booking process and the stay was superb!!

Camp Kidura is a very special place...

We had such a wonderful week at Camp Kidura! The house was more than we expected, it was absolutely beautiful... The house came with everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped, sitting areas are comfortable (and plentiful) and the kids were thrilled with the large assortment of games, puzzles and water sports. My husband loved the collection of Adirondack books and maps. The location on the lake is one of the nicest. The boathouse is very nice and we enjoyed the kayaks and canoes. The owners good taste and attention to details is obvious - they have made Camp Kidura a very special place. We are so pleased and lucky to have found this perfect escape! I hope we can come back next year. We highly recommend this lake house.

8 days at Camp Kidura

Lovely house, right on the lake. Great kitchen and dining area as well as comfortable living room and den. Several porches to view the sunrise (or sunset). Nicely decorated. Immaculately clean. High end appliances and well equipped. Only 2 of the beds were really comfortable. 1 was unusable for an adult. Loft may have been nice but it was too warm up there. It would be nice to have shades on the windows facing the lake as the sun is intense in the early morning (and wakes you up). Sometimes you just want to sleep in... Could use better lighting in the smaller bedrooms. On the whole, one of the nicest rental homes we have stayed in.

A Great Vacation

Our family of 9 had a wonderful time. Someone woke up at 5AM everyday to snap pictures of the sunrise. The camp is as beautiful as the pictures. We enjoyed the swimming and boating and relaxing atmosphere. Everything we needed was there. Would recommend this to anyone.

The house and views are beautiful and there were plenty of things to do close by.

We had a great time! The kitchen was very well equipped and the kids (and adults) enjoyed the fishing and kayaking right outside the front door. The location of the property was great. We were close by to great hiking areas, visited the Wild Center (just up the street), explored downtown Lake Saranac and took a day trip to Lake Placid (just a short drive). The only suggestions we had were to have a TV in the downstairs living area and maybe some shades for the front bedroom windows. The views from those windows are spectacular but it would have been nice to have shades for those mornings you didn't want to get up at sunrise. Great trip, beautiful house, would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Love, love, love Camp Kidura!

My husband and I talked about renting a lake house for years, but just never seemed to get around to doing it. This year, we finally got it together and rented Camp Kidura for our family of five for a week in July. It was everything we could have imagined, and more! The home is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need to cook, entertain or just relax. The view is beyond amazing - absolutely stunning and tranquil. Complete serenity. We hiked, canoed, kayaked, fished, swam, played shuffle board and every other board game imaginable with our kids. It was the perfect family vacation and we can't wait to go back!

Camp Kidura For A Weekend

We took a 4day weekend to climb mount Marcy, white water raft, and skydive in the Adirondacks and chose Camp Kidura as our lodging for the weekend. The great photos of the property gave us high expectation and still, when we got there the "cabin" blew us away. This lodge with a boathouse is just amazingly setup and everything from the details of the handrails, to the radiant floor heating makes it truly enjoyable in every way. Next time we will be sure to free up our itinerary so we can spend more time at the cabin!
