Excellent cottage
Carrie and Anthony have a beautiful, warm, well equipped cottage. We couldn’t ask for anything more. The dogs loved the walks, we loved the Red and Roe Deer Would we go back there again, yes, definitely

Fantastic cottage

Fabulous Holiday
Garden Cottage is the best accommodation we have ever stopped in. Fabulous welcome hamper on arrival there is everything you could ask for . It is like home from home. So many places to visit and a beautiful location. Places we visited were Cullen, Portsoy (try the ice cream and waffles it’s a must) head up the coast towards Gardenstown and Crovie there are some lovely beaches and spectacular coastline. If you don’t mind driving the Cairngorms are about a 2 hours away. We visited Glenmore and Loch Ness. The views and surroundings are amazing. The owners were lovely and very helpful. Freddie & Lola their dogs were very friendly we loved seeing them as did our dogs. Definitely recommend this property outstanding thank you for a fantastic stay!

Fantastic
Me and my husband stayed here for our anniversary and it was amazing, the weather was beautiful and the property was gorgeous. We are definitely going to book again it had everything we needed and more the hosts were lovely. The best house we have stayed in for a holiday ever. It was just perfect and the place was outstanding natural beauty.

What a place!
Beautifuly comfortable stay. Everything was perfect from the cleanliness to the facilities, The dogs, of course. we’re a wonderful addition. One of our (adult) children thought the dogs lived in the cottage 😂😂😂 T

Superlatives fail us
Best accommodation we have stayed in. It was so well equipped. It had everything you needed plus a fantastic welcome pack. Wonderful cottage in beautiful tranquility
We stayed here over the Easter weekend and had a wonderful break. The property is located in a wonderfully tranquil part of north east Scotland. Everything you need has been catered for and the hosts are so welcoming. Spotlessly clean and modern, lovely and warm and ready to enjoy your stay. The welcome pack was a lovely personal touch when we arrived. Will definitely come back again!

Such a lovely, peaceful place and fantastic hosts. Lovely cottage with everything you would need. Spotlessly clean and an absolute pleasure to stay in. Beds the most comfy ever. Great commumication leading up to the stay, answering any questions very quickly and offering helpful suggestions / recommendations. Whilst at the cottage our hosts were extremely attentive and went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable. Already making plans to stay next year. Thank you Carrie and Anthony.

The perfect cottage
A quite brilliant location. Nestled on a private driveway off the main road surrounded by nature. The cottage itself is perfect, with everything you could need for a stay in Scotland. The various welcome guides from where to eat to where to visit could fill your stay and are very helpful. Anthony and Carrie are wonderful hosts and introducing their animals and resident herds of red and roe deer filled many walks on the estate. An amazing week away.

The cottage was very well appointed with a beautiful pond garden. Very relaxing after a day's walk with our dog. The owners gave us a great welcome with a food pack and a bottle of wine and raspberry flavoured gin. A lovely place which we all enjoyed.

Absolutely loved our stay here so peaceful and relaxing, great location.
The cottage is beautiful, very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. There was a lovely welcome basket with local produce waiting for us when we arrived and the radio was playing when we entered the property which was a really nice touch, very welcoming.. Warm and relaxing well equipped cottage.
This is an outstanding property. Equipped with everything you need including for the dog! We arrived to a warm, cozily lit (better than) home from home, music gently playing and a very generous welcome hamper plus birthday gift for my partner. Spotlessly clean and all the comforts are there, dog blankets, scented candles, fully stocked wood basket, there is a spirit of generosity throughout the home. We didn’t sit outside as it was mid December but did walk around the gardens and it was beautiful. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Well needed break
Our stay at Garden cottage could not have been any more perfect. The lovely welcome hamper on arrival, was much appreciated and on such a miserable day to come into such a warm and welcoming cottage was just perfect. Another fabulous stay at Garden Cottage
Just as perfect as when we visited in May - this is truly the best cottage for a relaxing break. The house is kept in really good order with furnishings renewed to keep the cottage looking great. Loved it so much we rebooked before leaving!

What a wonderful cottage and break we had! Garden Cottage went way beyond our expectations. Kitted out to the highest of standards, this cottage has everything that you need. Nestled in a forest, you have sheep, deer and cows as neighbours and not to mention Dexter & Lola, the owners two adorable dogs. Garden Cottage
A beautiful spacious cottage situated in very well maintained grounds. The standard of facilities was of a very high calibre albeit we didn’t use everything that was on offer. It is situated with easy access to coastal paths and interesting places to visit. Carrie and Anthony were very welcoming although not intrusive and provided us a lovely welcome pack. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return at another date.

What a fantastic property in idyllic surroundings.
This cottage is absolutely lovely. Set back off the road on a farm. We received a well stock welcome pack on arrival with eggs bread milk and a bottle of wine. The cottage is very spacious and has everything you could possibly need. There is seating outside and even a BBQ and sun loungers. The owners have thought of everything. A stream runs down the side of the cottage and we were free to walk the area. Loved the deer that we saw every morning in the fields down the lane. A good base to see Speyside. Highly recommended and would certainly go back again.

We really enjoyed staying in this lovely cottage, very clean and spacious and well equipped. The cottage was very cosy and we enjoyed using the wood burning stove. The cottage is in the grounds of the owners farm. Anthony and Carrie were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We appreciated the owners being willing to postpone our booking due to covid restrictions. It was very helpful and much appreciated as was the welcome basket of goodies kindly supplied by the owners. Thank you so much for a lovely stay in your beautiful cottage.

Fabulous house in wonderful setting
Finally made it to Garden Cottage after months of restrictions. This is the perfect getaway, Carrie and Anthony have thought of everything in this cottage & it is furnished to a very comfortable standard with lots of little touches which make all the difference to a break. It was so nice to arrive on a cold day to a warm house and some music playing. The key things i look for in a holiday home is comfortable seating and beds, decent shower with plenty of hot water, good heating and a peaceful location with easy access to amenities - Garden cottage exceeded all my expectations! Before checking out we rebooked for the first available dates - see you in the autumn - thank you

We had everything we needed and more at Gardener's Cottage, which was toasty and warm. Anthony and Carrie made us feel so welcome. It was just as nice to hang out in the cottage as to venture out, though we enjoyed being near the sea very much. All in all a perfect place for a most relaxing break.

A fabulous stay in a stunning cottage
This cottage is a must for anyone who wants to get away from it all and relax. It has everything you could possibly need and Anthony and Carrie are the most fabulous hosts. Don’t go looking any further ! ............
So, aside of all of the many and enormously deserved reviews of Garden Cottage, we find with any reviews that it’s always useful for people to hear about why we chose this location. We wanted peace and tranquility for a week, but to be able to head out and explore / walk if the weather was good. However, if the rain or snow fell, it’s really important to be able to stay in and feel cosy and curl up with the fireplace if necessary. From the start to finish, Anthony and Carrie could not do enough for yo7, or to make you feel welcome and at home. The many “touches” (often forgotten) from the fire, to welcome basket, warm welcome (and the radiators on) are important as it immediately let’s you know it’s “their place” .... not something you often find from many of the managed properties. Garden Cottage and the estate is all about helping you to relax from the get-go, is incredibly peaceful, and for us .... with all of the fantastic walks and scenery nearby ...... a little piece of Scottish heaven. We’ve come in a week that’s been blessed with sunshine, and have walked all of the local recommendations (walkhighlands a great research tool), from Banff to Buchan, Gardenstown to Crovie, Pennan (naturally) and slightly further afield at Inverallochy. Today however was Cruden Bay, where - if you’re as lucky as we were - could pass the ruins of Slaine’s Castle and sit on the headland looking out to sea in glorious sunshine for an hour. However, this was surpassed by the dolphins who joined us and gave us the display of our lives !! All we can say is bookmark Garden Cottage, don’t look further, and who needs to travel to Disney to be able to see dolphins eh ??

Home from Home
Carrie and Anthony are first class people who give you a lovely warm welcome, the food hamper was lively, with quality food, beautiful the accommodation is open plan, so easy to get around especually as my husband and i are both disabled , the shower in main bedroom is brilluant so relaxing if you are looking to go than go you will not regret it we are 9 hours driving to get there but we will be back next tear LOVE LOVE this place and people.

Wonderful place
The location was idyllic. Nestled within farmland. Very safe for the dogs. The cottage was perfect. Very clean and well equipped and very comfortable. The welcome basket of wine and food was a lovely touch as was the greeting on the blackboard. Just about everything you could want was catered for in this cottage. The hosts and their dogs were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the daily visits from Dexter and Lola. We had a very pleasant week overall.

Perfection
Garden cottage was one of the best properties we have ever experienced. Absolutely everything had been thought about and the whole property was spotlessly clean. Our hosts were lovely, around if we needed anything but we still had total privacy. Exceptional cottage, comfy, warm, spectacular views and walks on the doorstep. We even had a gift from the hosts as we were celebrating 40th wedding anniversary. Well done Carrie and Anthony. Hope to see you (Dexter and Lola too) again..

Fantastic cosy and comfortable
