"A beautiful and tranquil location on Lake Rotoiti. The location is serene and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We hope to visit again another trip. The manager on duty recommended the nearby Okere Falls Cafe for a GF breakfast and it was delicious and a great start to exploring the amazing local landscape. "

"The property is truely fantastic! Mark was a super helpful host and the hidden gems right around the property were amazing to experience. I always appreciate host's with pet friendly options that enable us to travel with our beautiful little Grace."

"Host failed to mention the Bach is on a logging road which was actively being logged. The road was closed (we had to arrange with the logging crew to let us through) and power was cut one day. We were woken up to logging operation noise and the Bach shaking as the trees were felled across the road. I feel lucky that we brought our 4wheel drive truck as my car would’ve most likely gotten stuck on the road (after 3 days of logging there were deep ruts and a lot of mud on the road). Host was kind when we checked in but when we brought up the issues he didn’t respond and ignored my texts telling me he would respond later. Extra costs were not visible of our side of the site which led to a lot of confusion when we were charged and extra person (the Bach sleeps 6, we were 5 but he says the fee is for 4 people)."

"Just had a beautiful holiday here with 5 kids. Kayaking among the swans was a highlight. Gorgeous setting, close to everything. House well stocked with everything we needed. Will definitely be back. "

"Great location and property. Minor issues: We were unable to find the controller for the upstairs heat and air Split and therefore it was too warm. The bathroom faucet is loose, and the bathroom window latch broke when we attempted to open the window to cool the upstairs a bit. Also, could not find the additional house key. Otherwise, well-appointed kitchen, great location, quiet area right on the canal. The host is very quick to respond. "

"Our extended family of 13 stayed here over Easter weekend 2026. We had the best time. The weather was good the fish were biting and the house was perfect. Everyone loved it and want to go back next Easter. The host was very welcoming always responsive to any of our enquiries or requests. It was the perfect location, very comfortable and had a wonderful cosy family bach feeling. Would highly recommend."
