Valamar Amicor Resort

"We had an absolutely fantastic family stay at Valamar Amicor Resort in Hvar and would highly recommend it, especially for families with children. The resort is beautifully maintained, with a real focus on sustainability and being eco-friendly. We loved that they grow a lot of the food served at the resort, it made the whole experience feel fresh, thoughtful, and connected to the surroundings. For the kids, the water slide and inflatable water playground were a huge hit and definitely one of the highlights of the stay! There was plenty to keep them entertained, which made it just as relaxing and enjoyable for us. The location is also excellent. The beautiful town of Stari Grad is only around a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive away. We also tried the taxi boat across, which the girls absolutely loved and made getting into town part of the adventure. Hvar Old Town is only about 30 minutes away by car, so it’s very easy to explore more of the island. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Free parking at the resort was another nice bonus. We only spent two days at Amicor, but we could easily have stayed for a full week. A wonderful, family-friendly resort in a beautiful part of Hvar, we would definitely come back and recommend it without hesitation!"

"Hire a four wheeler if going by car the terrain and rubble on the steep windy road to the property albeit you can get there by boat. Such a stunning property we would definitely come back here It accommodated 2 adults and 3 children perfectly. My children didn’t like the wasps but understandable about wildlife. Can’t be helped. Amazing holiday amazing host Beautiful stunning nature surroundings"

"Host was welcoming and available. The priority is absolutely dreamy. Surrounded by beautiful and very private gardens. The historic neighborhood was charming. The pool was refreshing and totally private and very welcome (even necessary) in July. Everything you’d want on a true vacation. Two downsides to note: the WiFi does not reach outside. That was a tiny bit disappointing because we needed to work for a few hours each day and we hated being indoors when the gardens were so inviting. The other note: there is no lounging space inside (no couch or sitting area other than the kitchen table and one chair). So in the heat of the day or at night when the bugs were biting, the only place to rest was in the bed. Highly recommend this magical home."

"We had an incredible stay in this beautiful castle. It was luxurious for our family of 5. Wendy was so enthusiastic and charming, and her suggestions were great. We loved this place and it was a perfect home base to explore Stari Grad and the surrounding areas. We recommend it enthusiastically!"
