"I highly recommend this place if you want to stay on Tybee Island. It is right in the middle of shopping and restaurants and only one block to the beach. The staff is super friendly and the room was very clean. Yes it is an older hotel, but it has been completely renovated, so it feels new. Parking was super easy. They even let us check in early because our room was ready. I thought we might be in for a noisy night since we were right on the strip by the restaurants but it actually ended up...

"Check in was easy and our room was ready when we arrived. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the north side, the whole building smelled like marijuana. I was very let down by this! We didn't pay $300 to smell marijuana all night. Probably not staying here anymore because of this."

No safety certificate in elevator, exit sign literally hanging by one wire. Mattress needs to be replaced as you can feel the springs.
