"My wife and I stayed at Tru by Hilton in Lumberton, NC, for our anniversary trip, and it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. The building is beautiful, both inside and out, and has a modern, welcoming atmosphere. The lobby includes a fully stocked mini-market where you can pay at the front desk or charge items to your room, which was very convenient. There’s also a comfortable lounge area to the right when you walk in, complete with ample seating, a TV, and a pool table. We booked a handicap accessible room, and it was perfect. The bathroom was large enough for my wheelchair, and the shower setup was excellent—with both a standard and lower shower head, plus a shower chair provided. Everything felt clean, spacious, and well-designed for comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the linens were fresh and smelled clean. The location is also ideal—just across from Walmart and surrounded by a great selection of food options, including fast food and a buffet restaurant. Outside, the grill and lounge area was clean, inviting, and had a relaxing atmosphere in the evening. The hotel staff truly made our stay memorable. Everyone we spoke with was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions with a smile and made us feel genuinely welcome. Our stay was wonderful from start to finish, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. We’re already looking forward to booking another stay at a Hilton property."
