Ulinia Holidays

The whole place is quirky and has a student accommodation vibe. It's a good use of an old, industrial building. We stayed for 3 nights. The bed and pillows were comfortable but the bedroom is tiny, dominated by the queen bed, with only about 30cm of space along each side. The room had a horrible smell throughout our stay. The do-not-disturb sign to hang on the door also had an option to advise a pet is inside the room. We suspect a previous animal left deposits that weren't properly cleaned. It's a tiny space with no TV but functional. Aside from the smell it was fine for 3 nights.

The hotel is a perfect place for a visit to Gdansk. Near sights, cafes and restaurants. We walked everywhere. Buses and trains within easy reach (15/20 minute walk). Entry to the rooms are by code which was texted to me. There wasn’t anyone around when we arrived but the next morning the receptionist was very helpful and answered all our questions. The apartment was clean, had useful amenities. The included breakfast was round the corner at a restaurant; and lovely too. We had a very pleasant stay. Would go back.

Excellent stay, room was very clean and attended to everyday. Mini fridge and free water and coffee/tea refilled everyday. Air conditioned but windows opened too for fresh air. Walkable to all major sites. Would stay here again.

This hotel clearly had its prime some time ago and is now due for a refurbishment. It is clean, I’ll give it that. The staff are fantastic, and the food is as good as ever - but while it used to impress a few years ago, it now feels quite outdated. The heating/air conditioning system is old and barely works, making the room stuffy and weird temp. The amenities are well maintained and clean, but the old carpet had a strong smell of cleaning chemicals making stuffiness even worse. We only stayed one night, but for a longer stay we would have definitely asked to move rooms - we both woke up feeling congested, puffed with what seemed like an allergic reaction. For the price, you would expect a higher standard, especially considering how quickly Gdańsk is developing and improving. If Qubus doesn’t invest in updates, it risks falling even further behind the competition.
