Strongly recommended

A really nice hotel with a fantastic history rich interior. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet isn't the largest but it is fresh and varied and the staff are really friendly.

Fantastic stay in spacious annex

We had a fantastic stay in the hotel's annex apartment. The apartment was so spacious, clean and comfortable. We were able to get a great night's sleep, my partner away from my snoring! Check in was quick and friendly. Breakfast was a good continental selection.

AMAZING

It was really good, I arrived a bit late but it was still a amazing trip, cook building and rooms, everything was really clean and i really enjoyed it! Floor was a bit squecky in my room at least so i was worried about waking others, but also i get its an old building so maybe cant so to much abt that, But overall 10/10 would love to go here again

Different...in a good way

This is a unique property which made for a fun stay. (My gosh though, those "prison" doors are heavy.) Everything was very clean. It made the shared bathroom factor a total non-issue. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful stay at GF

Stayed one night in "annexet." We picked up the key before 1 PM so 2 hrs before check-in time, great! The little house was amazing with all the space, kitchen and own bathroom :) Bed was a little too soft for my taste but still slept pleasantly. Breakfast was just the basics but very good and filling. Lady at the reception was very nice though there were problems with my credit card and/or the internet. Free parking very great. Close to the city centre so could walk everywhere there. Wifi worked fine. Would def stay here again! Toppen!

En fängslande vistelse.

Vi var på affärsresa till Umeå och letade efter ett prisvärt boende för två nätter. Efter att ha tillbringat nätterna i en av GF's gamla celler var vi positivt överraskade - inte bara av rummet och dess mystik utan också av 'historiens vingslag'. Vi fick en intressant inblick i fängelsets historia med många roliga anekdoter berättade av hotellvärden.

Lugn och skön upplevelse på detta charmiga lilla hotell. Glad och hjälpsam personal. Rummen är lite lyhörda. I övrigt ligger hotellet i en ganska lugn del av staden. Frukosten som serveras är kanske inte överdådig men tyckte dom erbjöd det väsentligaste.
