We were booked in for two nights so on arrival asked if there was parking and were told that all the spaces were full and we would have to use another car park 300 metres away. The next morning I enquired if any spaces had come free and was told there was so went and paid for the other car park and moved to the hotel’s underground parking. We found the staff on reception to be a lot more friendly the second day than the ones on the first day.
We had a meal in the restaurant both evenings. Again with mixed interaction with the staff. The first evening the waitress was very friendly and helpful whereas the waiter was not the second evening. The food on the other hand was very nice.
Hamburg is a large city and so only a small area can be covered on foot but there is plenty of public transport available.
