The Inn at Shady Lawn
10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic stay. Very convenient to Grandfather Mountain state park which was our purpose for being there. Staff was so friendly and attentive. Family owned! We love to support a family owned place when we can. And they own the restaurant next door which was also very convenient and the food was great."

10/10 Excellent
"Room was very clean and up-to-date. I really liked that there was no carpet in the room. You always wonder what’s on the carpet in a hotel room. The shower was excellent and the bed was pretty good too. Breakfast was very good. There was plenty of seating and many choices for a hot breakfast."
Baymont by Wyndham Johnson City

"clean really clean great service"
Black Bear Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Our cabin was very clean and orderly. The staff was by far the best part of the whole stay. The fire pit was stocked and kept going by Charles. A small group of us sat by the fire and enjoyed the evening. It was one of the best stays we have had on the road that we can ever remember. We stayed for the location but will come back for the peace and quiet the property offers. The Cafe was a pleasant surprise for breakfast. The building itself large and beautiful. The food, however was even better. Reasonable pricing and exceedingly large portions. Just a really fantastic stay!"
