Everybody I've spoken to and anything I read about Fairbanks said that the museum was a major highlight...I personally found it quite small and disengaging, although I think if you watch one of the movies (IMAX?) available, you'll have a better experience. I had also already been to the native heritage museum in Barrow, AK which had similar information and relics/displays on native culture and wildlife etc.

"We needed to make a last minute booking due to cancelled flight in the middle of the night; Carlos was at the airport to pick us up within 15 minutes of our booking, and we got upgraded room as well. For a "breakfast in the lobby" the abundance, variety, and healthy options was incredible. Although the Inn is older, would recommend due to cleanliness, and service. "

"the room where you go to listen". When you first go inside, it seems to e just a small white room with a single bench and colored panels. What's unique and really cool about this room though is that it's hooked up to computers and sensors that monitor and react to outside environmental stimulus! The colors on the panel change to reflect the cycles of the sun and the moon. Atmospheric music plays us a map of the things that are happening all around us tht we can't see. Auroral activity obscured by daylight rings out as bells. Imperceptible tremors and earthquakes have the room emitting low rumbles. It's amazing how noisy this world is!
