Clean, with beautiful views of the surrounding area, it was within close proximity of the major sites (Oberammergau, Garmisch, Schloss Neuschwanstein, Ettal Abbey, etc.) The owner, who speaks English well, communicated quickly in response to our initial inquiry as well as subsequent questions we had. "On the whole the hotel was clean snd well located for walking around the charming little town of Fussen. Breakfast is reputedly great but very expensive so we passed on it. The Alt Stadt (old town) starys literally across the street and has a totally pedestrian walking area with many restaurants etc. Our main criticism as of the parking. If you arrive with a car they don't have a lot of parking spots behind the hotel....no surprise as Fussen is a busy town with the three local castles. Our complaint was because they told us twice at the check in that their lot was full (it was 5 pm so no surprise there) but that we coupd park instead at a nearby commercial lot and they would reumburse us. The lot turned to be considerably further away than they told us and next morning the person on the front desk refused to reimburse us for the expense and hassle of the offsite parking.....very unprofessional we thought."

"The hotel was really relaxed and the size and temperature of the pool excellent. My fault, I did not note the rooms did not have AC and it was very hot. However, reception were helpful and provided fans which we really appreciated. The location was peaceful and we did not notice the sound of the trains. Our youngest struggled with the food a little but overall, the hotel is truly excellent and staff helpful."
