"This property is on a working banana plantation. It is in a beautiful rural area not far from the north coast of Maui. The cabin was perfect for two people with a private bath and kitchen and a beautiful Lanai, screened in porch. It did not have air conditioning but lots of air flow and evening rains. Staying there in the summer was rather hot, but it cooled down at night. John was an excellent host, available for questions but mostly out of sight. I would recommend this place to friends. "

"We spent two nights at the property. We’re so glad we had extra time in Hana. We really enjoyed the covered porch with the nice breeze. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we appreciated the extra touches like having a jar of local coffee and the coffee presses. I was pleasantly surprised by the water pressure and the wonderful hot water from the solar system! And the outside shower was fantastic! If we’re ever lucky enough to come back to Hana, we would definitely stay here again. "

"We often had the pool to ourselves, occasionally sharing it with at most one other family. The location is convenient and it was easy to get to many different beaches. One thing to be aware of: the loft ceiling is quite low and the space there is tight. The extra twin rollout bed is at the floor level. "

"Just returned from 10 days at Hanks cottage in Haiku.The place is so well appointed. Comfy king bed, nice furnishings, all you need in a kitchen and nice bathroom.A deck that wraps around the house, with a view over the trees out to the ocean. The place is surround with trees, hedges and flowering shrubs. Total privacy! Great retreat after a busy day. Hank was a great host!"
