COVID-19 has ushered in big changes to how we travel. If you're planning a holiday in Upper Town, the following tips will help you navigate this new travelling reality:

• Before locking in your flight, see if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your origin and destination. Stay informed with the latest updates by checking government and travel websites.
• Wear a face mask even during airport screening. A TSA officer will ask you to temporarily lower your mask for ID purposes.
• You're no longer required to hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee. Instead, you should place the pass on the scanner and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
• TSA now permits passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will have to be removed from your bag for scanning.
• Place any personal items (keys, wallet and phone) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
• Transport any food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA agent will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
