"We loved the old time experience of staying in a wagon with modern upgrades. Def a must visit in South Texas. We plan to come by here to either stay in the wagon or rent an rv. I love how they have gas grills, smoker, & campfires, too. The gentleman who helped my husband and I take a Polaroid with our camera was very accommodating. "

"This place is a gem. A wonderful, secluded gem. The cabin sits by itself, surrounded by nature with no one else around. Very quiet. However, within about 30 minutes give or take you can be at Garner State Park or our favorite, Lost Maples Sate Natural Area. The hosts are very accommodating. "

This 4th of July was no exception and Utopia River Retreat lived up to its name. A perfectly sized cabin with anything we could need was a perfect home base to our adventures in Hill Country.
