"The view was amazing and staff were very friendly. I did not realize that the rooms did not have A/C, so things were hot the first night (reception closed at 8:00), but they were able to get me another fan the second night l, which made things better. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay which included access to a local swimming hole which was very refreshing. The restaurant was the most expensive meal we had in Costa Rica and to be honest, the food was not bad, but not good. Definitely not worth the money spent. We found food more reasonably priced and better tasting outside the resort. I would strongly recommend this site if you want great views, friendly staff, the feeling of being alone, and don’t mind no AC."

Charming Surf Style House in Uvita, Costa Rica

"There are multiple rooms available to sleep in. All have sheets and other linens and towels for shower and beach. I do reccomens when you get there to turn the AC on and let it run for a while, go and explore. It took an entire day for the downstairs to be cool enough to sleep. The upstairs smaller room seems to cool down the fastest. There are small dogs that roam over from next door. Some bark and some are very friendly, so just a heads up if you're not an animal person. We had a little companion greet us from next door and as much as we tried to get him to stay at the property, he escorted us to the beach. Definitely read the little book on the living room table. We didn't until late in the trip and it had some really great spots to eat. At this time the hot water did not work in the downstairs, but the water comes out pretty close to room temp which isn't startling, more refreshing. The property manager checks in with Whatsapp frequently which made us feel very secure. And was willing to answer any questions we had"
