Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location with exceptional staff.
Not all of the windows have fly screens and there were numerous wasps and other flying insects outside. Because of this I did not feel comfortable to have the windows open, even during the recent heat wave. Appreciate that air conditioning units cannot be fitted due to the age and character of the building but fly screens should be achievable. There was a fan in the room and this helped for me but even so, my laptop got very hot and would not charge. Later when moved to a cool location, it was fine.
I would love to visit again but probably not during a heat wave.

We were there for a conference. The hotel was just perfect for our needs - comfortable room, especially with the AC. And the breakfast was lovely.

The air conditioner doesn’t cool enough. We even sleep because the temperature in the room. The explanation they gave us was due to regulations they can drop temperatures below
75 F. We were in others hotels in Switzerland and that wasn’t the case we can manage the temperature even below 70 F. I am not sure about the real reason. I know I have to go to the front desk for them to set the air conditioning to 75 or higher because you won’t see it. I know they did it remotely. Another situation is the ice machine wasn’t working in my floor , I went to a different floor and didn’t work either. If they fix this I would give them excellent
