"First, you must have a car if you plan to stay in Haro. Transportation, including taxis, are extremely limited and difficult to use. This fact is even more so if you stay at Hotel ITC Ciudad de Haro. This hotel is about a 25-minute walk uphill to the downtown area and you must cross a highway, which we were told multiple times is officially illegal. "My husband and I wanted to visit Rioja wine country, this was our first visit. This apartment is located next to a really nice grocery store and is walkable to the wineries and the restaurants. The place was very well stocked with coffee and tea and other basic kitchen supplies. The owner was very helpful in providing any answers to local questions about where to eat and what to do. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The views of the mountains was very pretty! We loved staying here....
