Appartement indépendant au centre de La Valette.

Très bon emplacement pour visiter toute la ville. Quartier très animé, plein de bons petits restaurants , mais pas bruyant car il donne sur des cours intérieures. Manque un peu de lumière naturelle, mais il y en a tant dehors!! Les voisins sont charmants. Attention il y a 2 étages à monter sur de vieux escaliers.

Central self-catering flat

We were very disappointed with the state of the flat. The walls were dusty, and we found a cockroach.The double bed had a stained mattress, and was provided with single sheets which could not be tucked in. There were four pillows but only two pillow cases. Towels were frayed and ragged. Equipment had not been checked: the hair dryer was not working; one of the bedside lamps was faulty; and one of the wall lights was not working in the bedroom. The wardobe had not been assembled completely, and gave the impression that it might collapse at any moment. Despite its generous proportions, the flat felt dark and claustrophic. It had no windows onto the street, but was lit by two lightwells. That at the rear would have lit the bathroom and the kitchen, but the blinds there could not be raised, and we had no choice but to use artificial lighting during the day. Work was being undertaken on the storey above the flat, which resulted in a partial blocking of the lightwell towards the front of the flat, so it is dark here as well. What were previously service stairs to the rear of the flat were not secured, so we did not feel safe. Between 0630 and 0730 every day the neighbours immediately below the flat were in the habit of conducting loud conversations in their kitchen, which carried up the lightwell. The neighbours further down like to drill, hammer and saw in the evening.

Apartment living

The actual apartment is great, well located, spacious, and homely with books and dvd's to keep you entertained. The massive let down is the shower...terrible water pressure and a hand held shower head only in a bath tub...so not really a shower at all. The other downside is the service...great until you get there, then you are just an inconvenience.

Mooie locatie met meer potentieel

Het appartement zit op een centrale plek in de stad. Het straatje lokt niet maar dat is overal daar, dus geen probleem. Appartement is voor 2 personen lekker ruim, maar weinig licht en we hadden gehorige buren. Wat kritiekpunten: - het huis was nog niet schoon toen we kwamen. Er werd gezegd vanwege probleem met kind van schoonmaakster. Een uur later wel schoongemaakt, maar geen extra beddengoed of extra handdoeken. De vieze handdoeken lagen achter de badkamer. -er waren twee wasmachines, die beide niet werkten. -badkamer was ok maar mag een opknapbeurt gebruiken. De douche moet je zelf vasthouden want het ophang systeem is kapot. De keuken was in orde, met koffie en thee mogelijkheden, koelkast, magnetron en oven. Woonkamer was ook in orde, en bij entree een kast met boeken en films voor als je keertje niet erop uit wilt. Bij vertrek hadden we taxi gereserveerd via de verhuurder VLR, maar die kwam niet. Na meerdere telefoontjes (drie verschillende medewerkers gesproken en elke keer gingen ze het uitzoeken) en bijna een uur later, kwam er toch iemand. Er werd gezegd dat de chauffeur een ongeluk had gehad. Al met al: de service van de organisatie is niet echt betrouwbaar. Het appartement is op zich de moeite waard.
