A Great Girlfriends Trip

The view off the wonderful back porch was only matched by the kind hosts. I wish the property was still on the vacation rental list.

Great stay

This was a great property, with helpful and responsive hosts, and lots of hospitable, thoughtful touches. With the pool, big back porch, great view, and firepit, it was nice to spend most of the day outside. This will be on our family's short-list of places to return to.

Waco Girls Trip

this is our third year we’ve stayed at this property and we’ll stay there over and over again! The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay and beautiful views from the back porch. The host, Bob, and Teresa are always available to answer any questions. A great place to stay a!

Beautiful Valley Mills Retreat

Lovely secluded home with beautiful country views. Enjoyed our evening and morning visits with small herd of deer. Appreciated the country feel with modern technologies of WiFi, massaging recliners, and other excellent amenities.

Fantastic place to stay

At first I was on the fence about staying here. But I am super glad we did. The pictures do not do it justice, you have to see for yourself. The views are breathtaking. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful Texas Home

This place is awesome, especially for dogs. There's a beautiful view right off the back porch, a pool, projector for watching movies at night, and fully fenced in yard. My wife and I had a great time with friends for the long weekend.

Scenic Getaway

What a wonderful vacation home! This place offers something for everyone. Fun for little kids, teens, and adults! Convenient access to area attractions and activities and far enough out of Waco for rural relief! We loved the scenic views and truly enjoyed the spectacular sunrises and soothing sunsets!! All this along with a symphony of birds singing. We hope to return on our next adventure in this area!

Weekend Country Get Away

My college roommates & I want a quiet, easy to get to, comfortable place to gather each year so we can judge each others mistakes and celebrate successes over the past year. Bob & Teresa’s home is great. The view from the back porch is awesome!

Wow!

This is a fantastic property. Very private and wonderful views!! There is an excellent outdoor area with fire pit, misters, lots of seating, and a killer view. You can’t beat this! The location is perfect r for those looking for something not big city but close enough to alll of the amenities of Waco!

Amazing View

Great location. Huge fenced-in yard for our dogs to run around in. Amazing view off the back patio into the valley below. It is a must to go to Helberg Barbecue, the best food I had in the Waco area. Valley Brew coffee downtown is a nice place to start your day. Very friendly people in the Valley Mills area.

What a treasure!

This wonderful home out in the country was a perfect place for us to have a short getaway from Dallas/Austin. Bob was very a great host and just a text/call away although nothing was needed because he and Teresa have thought of all the necessary amenities and more. We will be back!

Great stay!

I had an amazing experience at this property! The home is very cozy, the property is beautiful, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could have needed. The check-in and check-out process we're super easy and the host made themselves available if any problems came up. No problems did come up, but it was nice to know they'd be available had we had any issues. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Can't wait for another chance to go back!

Stunning views

I don’t even know where to begin. We have been renting VRBO’s for about 15 years and this one is by far one of our favorites. The dogs favorite for sure!!! A perfect place for families of all ages to escape to, everything is well thought out as what you may need and the house is warm and cozy. Didn’t get a chance to use the s’mores provided but maybe next time.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay!

I really can't say enough good things about our stay at Bob and Teresa's home. It truly was a place for us to call home while visiting Texas. The hosts themselves are so friendly and accommodating. They quickly answered any questions we had about the property, as well as about local things to see and do. And all of their suggestions were perfect for our family. The home and it's property are beautiful. The house was clean, comfortable and well thought out for guests. It had everything we needed for our time there. Our favorite place was outside though! The view from the back porch is amazing at all times of the day and we spent most of our time enjoying that and the yard, which has something fun for everyone! The location is ideal, as it's close to Waco, but still in the country. Valley Mills is a cute little town with just about everything you might need. And the Valley Mills Vineyard is just down the road which is a must see! We can't wait to come back!!

BEST HOSTS & HOME AWAY EVER!

This was by far our BEST Home Away stay, BAR NONE! Teresa and Bob's home is just that, HOME! They're attention to detail concerning your stay, far superceded any other I've ever experienced! We came down for my wife's birthday, and they had the home beautifully decorated to commemorate that, complete with Birthday Cupcakes! The home is well appointed, comfortable and SPOTLESS! All the amenities that you can think of ARE HERE! But what you can't see in a written review is the Spirit of Love and Care that flows throughout this place, and makes you feel so AT HOME! Teresa and Bob were quick to respond in communication, from the initial contact, to the reservation, to the check in, to CHECKING ON throughout our stay (With genuine concern), to the check out! (Which we didn't want to do) LOL Now on to the grounds! This really can't be appreciated without being seen! The covered wrap around back porch encompasses a picturesque view that can't be captured in words! There is seating everywhere, games, and a movie screen, so whatever your pleasure, IT'S HERE! I spent one morning in the hammock, and saw deer pass by! Peace and Serenity is found at this place! Thank you again Teresa and Bob for sharing (and the caring of) your home with us! We WILL BE BACK SOON! LOL If you get a chance to stay here, DO IT! It will provide you with a lifetime memory, not soon forgotten!

Incredible Property

We had an amazing time at this beautiful home in Valley Mills. The kitchen was well-supplied, and we loved eating outside under the covered porch. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the living room was great for watching sports. We had everything we needed because of the thoughtfulness our hosts put into every detail, including great communication during our stay. The highlight was the gorgeous 3-acre property, with the best views in all of Texas. Do not pass up the opportunity to stay at this incredible place.

So comfortable and Relaxing

We traveled from North Georgia to stay at this home in Valley Mills. The reason for our trip in the first place was we were going to see Metallica in Arlington. We’ve never done VRBO before, so this house was our first. It happened to be about 2 hours from our concert venue, but we all decided that was okay, because we thought the listing for the home looked like it might be worth it. And we were right. We spent 7 days here at the home. My wife and I (she’s 30, I’m 27), my mom (in her 60’s) and our 15 month old little girl all fit perfectly in this home. And our little dog too! The homeowners, Bob and Teresa, we’re both VERY accommodating, asking us about the baby and the dog, to make sure the house was set up properly before we arrived. The home was clean, tidy, and we felt right at home. The property was our favorite part though. The fenced in yard was perfect for our little dog. The sunsets were STUNNING! I didn’t hear a peep from the neighbors around us (if they were even there?). One of the “least appealing” things about our trip was the TX heat. Every day was 110 degrees. Not quite what we were used to in north GA. But that wasn’t an issue for this home. The AC unit kept up flawlessly. The little swimming pool is where we spent most of our time if we weren’t in the home. There were a good amount of fans provided on the back porch, so we spent a good amount of time there too. I am out of characters for this review, but have many more good things to say about our stay.

Fabulous sunsets!

The house was very clean. All of the amenities listed were available. For our visit to the rural communities in Coryell, Bosque, and McClennan counties, the location worked well. The back deck which overlooks the valley was spectacular at sunset. We could see a small herd of deer each dusk. Well equipped kitchen. The property, although in a neighborhood, is very private.
