Grandiben Palace House

The house is an apartment in the heart of the historic center of Venice, owned by my family for many years. It is rented when my family does not use it, to recover the high management costs. Located in a historic building, it has large windows overlooking typical views of Venice, 5 minutes from Piazza S. Marco but away from the noise and the crowd of tourists. Very high ceilings, according to the building tradition of the 18th century Venice, an excellent base for visiting the city on foot, without the need to take public transport.
If you want, Emanuela can book a boat tour (a navy from 15 mt with sailor and guide on board), it cost 20 euro/person.
The tour (6 hours) cames to Murano, Burano, Torcello (1,5 hour in every isle) with visiting a glass factory in Murano.
The tour start at 11 in the morning and finish near S. Marco square .

Nice apartment a bit tucked away from the busy area where ferries and boats come in. Our host kindly met us at the dock and showed us to the apartment. We appreciated the laundry facilities and being able to leave our suitcases securely behind after the 10 AM check out.

Emanuella the host was very polite and quick to respond to our requests. She waited for us when we arrived in Venice and walked us to her beautiful spacious condo. The condo did not miss a thing. It had everything we needed from laundry facilities to wine glasses and wine bottle opener. We really enjoyed our stay! We would definitely go back.

Il Grandiben è fantastico

This beautiful Palazzo was attractively updated yet preserved old world charm. The neighborhood was quiet, yet very close to many scenic locations desirable locations.

Great house

We stayed at this property during our Venice visit. The house was close to all the tourist spots, easy to walk to St. Mark square and museums, yet away from the hustle near the port. We liked the cleanliness also. The host was super helpful, they came to get us from the boat ride on a rainy day! We totally enjoyed our stay here.

Great stay in Venice

The property was perfect for us - 2 couples (4 adults). The host was very friendly and helpful and met us on arrival. The location was perfect - short walk to the tourist spots but just out of the way enough to stay out of the tourist mess if you wanted. Many shops, cafes and restaurants just around the corner. Clean, comfortable and would definitely stay there again.

Amazing place minutes away from the heart of Venice

Great apartment with excellent security. The location is a quick walk to the heart of Venice and easy access to everything we needed. Angelo and Emanuela were great communicators who welcomed us and provided great recommendations and help with how to best navigate the city. Would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Venice.

Simply Wonderful

The apartment was spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was well-stocked with basic staples provided. Very nice to have two bathrooms (—water pressure was great for shower-taking.) Loved the location —great neighborhood. And the property manager, Emanuela, could not have been nicer nor more helpful. Very much look forward to going back—-hopefully sooner than later!

Clean, spacious and close to everything!

Angelo met us at the Arsenale boat stop and provided a very thorough check in and local recommendations. Apartment was spacious and clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. We walked or to the boat all over Venice. Host communication was excellent and we would definitely stay here again!

Highly recommended! Perfect location.

The property was very spacious and had everything we would want. The location is perfect; tucked away down and alley from the main water front in Venice. A short walk to all the main attractions, shopping, and restaurants. Both Angelo and Emamuela were very helpful and responsive to any questions or issues. They recommended a boat tour, met us at the boat stop after we arrived and made the visit a wonderful experience!

the apartment was as seen on VRBO. clean, comfortable. close to everything. just hard to find as you have to go down an alley, which is the norm for Venice. would stay there again.

Host were Nice and helpfull at the arrival. Appartment is clean. Bed is confortable. Well equiped. Complimentary coffre and différent type of coffee machines appreciated. It would have been perfect except for the problem with the water heater. But the host came after work to solve the issue. I would recommend it o friends.

Gem in Venice

Our stay at Grandiben was very quiet, comfortable and was in a great location. 5 minutes to the water bus and San Marco. Emanuela met us at the water bus when we arrived and was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and kitchen well equipped. The bathrooms have been renovated and the washer and dryer were appreciated. We would definitely recommend this property!

Highly Recommend!

Angelo was a 5-star host! Angelo was there to meet us at the boat taxi drop off and escorted us to the centrally located apartment. Angelo provided many "tips and tricks" to get around Venice as well as recommendations for local dining, groceries and convenience stores. The apartment is spacious and centrally located within minutes of San Marco Piazza.

One of the nicest places I’ve even stayed.

Absolutely great. Host met us at the water bus and walked us to the apartment on first day, even though I’d mistakenly gone to the wrong stop. Fantastic location - close to major sites but in an area that I think has some actual locals. Apartment itself was luxurious and beautiful. Extremely well equipped and maintained. Very clean and comfortable. Quiet at night. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Host was amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

Almost staying your family vacation home!

This is gem! We were so happy to stay this apt for three days while traveling in Italy. Emannuel was kind hostess, she met us on dock as we arrived by water bus, showed us apt in and out. She even gave us option as where to keep our bag if we wanted to keep luggages in apt. She was first of many people who warnning of pick pocket. And I really appreciate your cleanness. My husband who had dust mite allergy did not cough single time while we were staying your place! Thanks! If you come this way, you should stay this place. I definitly will stay again!

Good location

We were met at the vaporetto boat station (after host told us which stop to take) and walked to the residence. Good thing, because I don't think we would have found it on our own. The place was equipped with maps which the host explained to us. He told us the best way to get to the airport on our departure (although we left 1.5 hours earlier than he suggested, and it was needed for the check-in process). Navigating back to the boat stop was easy 5 minute walk. The residence is up 2 flights of stairs, so getting luggage in was difficult. It's far enough away from the tourist crowds that it was pretty quiet at night. We felt safe walking around the area at night. Venice itself is very crowded, but we found our own personal space at this VRBO
