"It is a budget hotel, so don't expect much. It is convenient to the train station. The entry and lounge are very nice. The exterior looks inviting. The rooms are very small with tiny bathroom, but clean. The beds were not very comfortable. The walls were thin, the shower very tiny and slippery. The staff was very gracious and helpful."

"Having requested a superior room with a good view, we were bowled over by the incredible views over the pool golf course and miles of countryside from the full length full height opening picture window all along one side of the room. The room itself had all the usual amenities inc kettle,safe,wi fi etc plus a full size fridge, microwave, robes and slippers. Pool area very well kept with heated pool and comfortable loungers. "The couple who run the hotel were very pleasant and tried to be helpful but a great shame we couldn't access the internet anywhere in the hotel, or indeed in a brasserie on the town square. Room was an odd shape and rather cramped. Bathroom needed some refurbishment. Quiet and okay for an overnight stop. Avoid the restaurant which was very reasonable but produced 2 meals which had dried out meat and inedible mushy vegetables."

"This is a large chateau. The owner has been restoring the property for over 10 years but it is still work in progress. He is an excellent cook and the in house dinners are a good choice. The breakfast was good. The bedroom was large, clean and very 19th century French. Lovely polished wood floors. Large grounds around the hotel. Free parking."

There was a problem with the bill, additional alcoholic drinks we had not consumed, check your bill...
