About this property

Cozy suite with private entrance, 5 minutes from downtown.

  • Drive up to the beautiful house built in 1905! Go through the green garden gate where you will find a path lined with grape vines to a staircase which will take you to the entrance and a private deck that looks over the neighborhood. Suite updated in 2024, with some old house character remaining. Inside you will find a open concept kitchen and living room, with a table beside the window to enjoy the view. There is an induction cooktop, toaster oven and microwave as well as, plates, glasses and utensils. There is a 2 in 1 laundry/dryer open for use. One bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom across from the bedroom with a shower. A 10-15 min walk to main street downtown and a 5 min drive to almost anywhere in town, 25 min drive to silverstar ski resort. Quiet street, with many squirrels and birds, making it feel further from the city life. The suite is completely private but don't hesitate to ask for anything you may need, we are just downstairs- it is fairly soundproof. The suite is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible, there are 18 stairs leading up the the entrance and a 28 inch wide door frame, this house was built so long ago it would be very difficult to change the doorframe.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay in Jolene’s suite. It was equipped with everything we needed and more. The suite is comfortable and surprisingly quiet, given its proximity to downtown Vernon. Sitting on the deck in the evenings provided us with pleasant views and was a lovely way to end the day. Jolene was very responsive and helpful on the rare occasion that we had a question. She is a wonderful host.

The place is clean and the location is ideal if you want to be close to the town centre but yet be in a more quiet place. The unit is well conditioned in the summer.

Perfect location

Jolene is an excellent host and I had a perfect stay at her place. The space is big and the outdoor balcony is lovely in the evening when things cool off. It’s close to everything and has everything you might need. I will definitely stay here again.
