Nice hotel. Pricey though and rooms very small - even though we had an Executive room. Staff very pleasant. Didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food. We ate breakfast across at Calis Cafe which was excellent.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Jay Hotel by HappyCulture. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the hotel atmosphere was fantastic. The hotel is very conveniently located just a short walk from cafes and the beach. The room itself was comfortable and spacious with a separate living area, bedroom, and a wonderful balcony. We would highly recommend this hotel to other travellers.

A shocking experience. My flight was cancelled, so I sent the hotel a message through the Hotels.com app, using the option clearly labelled “Contact hotel”, to explain that I would arrive the following day.
When I arrived, I was told my room had been resold and the hotel was full. Staff initially denied that I had contacted them. When I showed the receptionist the message, he said they did not read Hotels.com messages. I was left without a room during a busy trade show and had to find accommodation in another town at significant extra cost.
The receptionist was rude, defensive and unhelpful throughout. The hotel initially refused to refund the first night; it did so only after I supplied a screenshot of my message to the booking platform.
I would strongly advise against staying here. A hotel that provides a “Contact hotel” messaging route should read the messages it receives, and guests should not be left stranded because it fails to do so.
