This beautiful new construction ranch style house is located on14 wooded acres near the quiet little town of Vienna, Il. It has a large deck which overlooks a large green grassy area that is perfect for spying an early morning deer just waking up to enjoy the day or a flock of turkey scurrying through.
You can even take a walk in the woods and enjoy the stream that runs through the property.
There is also a concrete patio area that is a great area to grill out or simply hang up your diving equipment or hunting clothes.
PJ's palace is a great location for SCUBA divers, runners, folks who like to ride bike trails, wine enthusiasts and hunters as well!! We are located approximately 10 minutes north of Mermet Springs, which is one of the top diving destinations in the midwest.
This house is also conveniently located about 3 minutes from the tunnel hill trail that is a favorite trail in this area for bike riders or runners. The tunnel hill trail is the site / host of the 50 and 100 mile running race that is held every fall.
Are you a wine trail enthusiast? We are also centrally located for the wine trail in Southern Illinois. Some of our local wineries include Blue Sky, Star View, Owl Creek, Fork and Vine, Alto pass winery. You can find all of the wineries listed at shawneewinetrail.com
This location is perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a relaxing getaway.

This is an excellent property, with a wonderful living room where everyone could visit. The rooms were perfect for our group, and we totally enjoyed the outdoor fire pit area. It is conveniently close to town, but just far enough outside to provide a quiet, comfortable environment. I will be staying here again on our next visit to Mermet Springs Dive Park!

We booked this property twice, one night each way on a road trip. It's very clean, no clutter and the perfect size for one to two families. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has tons of counter space, there are plenty of towels and despite being on a main road, we got a quiet night's sleep. We would definitely book again.

WOWZA - so spacious and GREAT for scuba getaway!

Thank you so much for a great stay! This place is super big - lots of room to stretch out, great patio and grill. We did a little exploring out back - gorgeous property and so conveniently located to Mermet Springs. We so enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back again!

Beautiful Home in a Beautiful Location

My family and I travelled to the area for a wedding and wanted a place where we could all stay together. The house is spacious, tidy and comfortable. The owners left a binder full of some great food choices and things to do. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others coming to the area.

Check-in is with a key pad and seamless. A binder with local restaurants, grocery stores and attractions is provided and helped us find a breakfast spot just up the street. Although we didn't use the kitchen, it is beautifully appointed and has everything you would need to cook a meal. A Keurig with a variety of pods is provided and allowed each guest to enjoy their favorite hot beverage. Rooms are comfortable. Loved sipping my morning coffee on the back porch listening to the birds and watching the sun rise. It was perfect for our long weekend!

Great spot if you're running Tunnel Hill

This home had everything we needed and wanted for our ultra marathon weekend at Tunnel Hill. The location is absolutely unbeatable, and the home is spacious, clean, modern and fully equipped with anything you could think of. Perfect for runners and their crew!

Beautiful home

My mom, my sisters and I stayed here for our annual girls’ weekend. The house was absolutely beautiful! We especially enjoyed the back deck- it was the perfect place to sit and enjoy the gorgeous weather. The house was clean and the beds were comfy! The kitchen is very spacious, and plenty of counter space to make dinner. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a place in the area. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Perfect Oasis at PJ’s!

We had been traveling for a family reunion and seven of us caravanning cross-country. This gem of a property was exactly what we needed during our stopover from the Ozarks! Lovely, modern, beautiful with tons of space to run around. It checked all the boxes for us: safe, clean, ample parking, comfortable beds, big kitchen for crowd cooking, scenic and modernized! They literally thought of everything and were so communicative. Answered our questions and all around lovely hosts! Can’t wait to stay, again!

Great property near national forests

A lovely place to stay close to Garden of the Gods National Forest and more. My group stayed for a short trip over Memorial Day Weekend and wish we stayed longer. The place is very spacious, has plenty of bedrooms for small and larger groups, and has great updated amenities inside and in the backyard to enjoy. Highly recommend. If planning to visit Garden of the Gods Wilderness, be aware it's about at 45 minute drive to the primary trailheads. If you plan to cook, the property has all the cookware you might need, but plan to bring/buy all your basic cooking ingredients like oils, seasoning, etc.. And be sure to confirm instructions on how to enjoy all the great amenities before arriving so you can take full advantage. We had a bit of trouble starting the bonfire pit in the backyard, but could've been user error.
