"We were on the top (15th) floor and the views were amazing but the windows were high off the floor so you have to stand to appreciate them. The famous Luis I bridge is adjacent to the property which is great but even tho the windows are double paned, you can hear the rumble of the trains. We think they are meant to restock water and evening chocolates nightly but we only received service one night. Their breakfast buffet is fantastic. Their staff are very friendly. You can't beat the location with easy access to both levels of Gaia and Porto. Overall it was wonderful and we would stay here again."

"Great hotel with a beautiful reception area. Staff went out of there way to upgrade our room for us as I had become ill when traveling. Parking is free and easy access if traveling with a car and the train station is a short walk down the road although we found using uber was about the same price to get into city. Highly recommend hotel especially as driving into Porto is a nightmare."

"Older hotel that has been updated. Clean. Staff very friendly. The only unusual item was the pool lounge chairs - half were sagging substantially in the middle of the seat. I didn't try one but it didn't appear to be comfortable. Likely needs tighter straps where a person's weight is concentrated. Many restaurants nearby, down the hill, near the water. Probably need a car as it could be a long, steep walk. We had a comfortable stay. Very close to the bridge to drive into Porto."

"The hotel was convenient for our purposes but to be honest was a bit dated and tired. The room was a good size, with a big bed and a decent, if well used, bathroom with shower over bath. The restaurant was basic. Access into the basement car park (€15 supplement) was quite difficult to negotiate. They claim four stars but I would give three to be fair"
