Good location in quiet area within short walking distance of beaches. Relaxing and upscale decor with tasteful touches throughout. Comprehensive buffet breakfast in lovely dining room. Our suite was well appointed with private garden patio area; no bedside lamps available and precarious and dangerous small step down from room to patio. Staff interactions were what you’d expect from an hotel at this level - very good.

The room was very clean. The lighting was a bit dim in the room. The staff were all friendly and helpful, (apart from those in the spa.) The housekeeping staff in particular were great, very efficient and obliging. The bar was nice and I enjoyed the special cocktail of the month. The rooftop pool area is beautiful, though of course it would have been nice if the food and drink bar were not closed for the winter months. The hotels location is reasonably convenient for the beach and the main A22 motorway that leads from Spain to Faro and beyond. The TV was hard to use with a really annoying advert for Pr1me Energize every time it was switched on! The breakfast was a bit disappointing with very little choice if cereal or eggs. But all in all, I recommend this hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The staff was excellent! The room was large & clean. The pool was clean but awkward to get to. The elevator/lift was very small. Room service was good but slow. Would definitely stay again!!

We stayed at this hotel twice before and it ideal for us. Staff are friendly helpful and great. Facilities are very good and good value for the money. We decided to include an evening meal and this vacation, which I didn’t realise was a buffet. We have two very minor remarks. 1) On the whole the food was very good but one evening the temperature of the food was not hot enough. 2) At breakfast there is an orange juice machine that crushed fresh oranges, which provides beautiful juice, but it seemed every 5 minutes it jammed up. Probably needed some maintenance. I consider this to be minor but the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

If you want a nightclub atmosphere at breakfast, this is the hotel for you – but not for me. Ridiculously loud music every day, and the reception tells me it’s a “nice way to wake up.” There are no outdoor areas where you can retreat. The rooftop pool has no shower, so sunscreen floats on the surface of the water. For me, this hotel is a definite NO GO.

Room was Clean, Staff was friendly, Bathroom was spacious. Bed was nice. The only reason for the 4 is: 5th floor elevator is not the main elevator and it is located in seperate area and only fits 2 people with no luggage or one person with luggage. You then walk an unenclosed hallway to the outside to get to your 5th floor room. Fine if the weather is good but not ideal if its not. All and all a very nice place just know that uf you book 5th floor you will not use the large primary elevators. Also note parking padlocks could use being replaced. Padlock on parking gate is rusted and hard and my wife could not close.Again a great location and 5-8 min walk to beach and dining.

Remember to book the spa in advance, plunge pool not very deep and some of the jacuzzi jets not working, other than that it was fabulous. Roof top bar and pool also great. Monte Gordo a solid up and coming location, not over developed for tourism. Worth getting out the town to Tavira or other beautiful algarve coast line locations - roads very smooth for driving.
