"The Hotel Posta Maltrasio was a great stay. Do not get this hotel confused with Hotel Posta Design. Design is in downtown Como. Maltrasio is up the hill with great views. The staff at this hotel was wonderful, led by the front desk wonder, Theresa. She was more than great. Whatever you do, get to know her, and she will be the guide you need. The room was good, typical size for Europe, but well kept. Some would say the rooms are old -- it's an Old hotel, not a brand new W on 59th st. in NYC. Some things to remember: if you don't have a car, a taxi to the hotel from the San Giovanni train can run 40-50 euros one way. If you are not limited by time or unable to walk a bit, my advice is to walk from San Giovanni to the ferry. The walk is about 15-20 minutes. The ferry is 4.5 euro each way to the Maltrasio dock. The hotel is 50 feet from the dock. You'll see homes and other stops as you ferry up Lake Como. Definitely a great investment and savings. The restaurant was solid. We got spaghetti bolognese, and the beef dish. Dessert were good. Walk up the steep Holy Staircase to a little town with shops. THe walk is steep and cobblestone-like."

"This hotel has very friendly and helpful staff and is in an amazing location. Our room had a view of Lake Como from the balcony and a view of the mountains from the window. The restaurant was also very good. My favorite dish was called "Taste of the Lake," which was a sample of different fish from Lake Como. They also had a great selection of local liqueurs (amari). The hotel is also located right next to the boat dock for the water taxi that takes you to different destinations around the lake, including Bellagio."

"Villa Martina is spectacular. The pictures don't do it justice. The first floor is much bigger and more spacious than the pictures show. There is a professional kitchen which is not shown in the pictures also.The owners were very communicative throughout the process and are genuinely good people. Matteo in particular was genuinely concerned that we enjoy our stay and was very attentive. They were also very helpful in giving us options re various individuals to provide services during our stay. Each recommendation was great and they were all very fair and professional people.We had a small wedding on the property and given the view and the layout it was perfect for the event. The grass area with the plant trellis was an excellent spot for the ceremony. It provides a lot of decorating opportunities and is very intimate. We had 15 guests and the couples and individual guests each had their own bedroom with a private ensuite bathroom. There are lounge areas on the third and fourth floor that give the guests areas to relax in multiple places in the house. The elevator provided guests on the top floors with an easy way to get their luggage to their room.The outside is also spectacular. The pool, boat doc, and shaded sitting areas make for a wonderful experience. The places is laid out for an indoor, indoor/outdoor or completely outdoor weddings or gatherings. We had formal sit down meals indoors and outdoors during our stay.Perfect villa!"

"Il est indéniable que la vue est magnifique une fois sur place. De toutes les pieces, on a une magnifique vue sur le lac de Côme. La maison est bien agencée et plutôt bien équipée.Il serait bon de préciser qu'il n'y a pas de parking sur place contrairement à ce qui est indiqué dans l'annonce. On ne peut se garer qu' à environ 10 minutes de la maison et il faut ensuite monter à pied. Il y a bien 1 lit double et 3 lits simples. Nous étions 6 et le 6eme lit est un lit de camp. Nous aurions aimé connaître cette précision aussi car cela n'est pas le mème confort.La maison est dans un style ancien ce qyi n'est pas du tout gênant pour une maison de vacances. Pour autant, certains matériels de cuisine mériteraient d'être remplacés."
