While it's a good 15 mins or so up a hill from the station, for £40 or so, there's nothing at all to complain about- big rooms with cooking facilities, microwave and even a dishwasher should you need it, a lovely swimming pool and staff who were knowlegable and extremely helpful; particularly Guaytan , who couldn't have been more efficient and personable. "I booked this lovely Carcassone apartment for a friend who was visiting from England solo, and he absolutely loved it. The location in the Bastide is great for walking to everything in town - shops, restaurants, the square, small grocery store, pharmacy and train station etc. All communications with the host were timely, friendly and considerate. She also provided great information and tips on visiting the city. The apartment decor is bright, modern and cheerful. The apartment is very...

Hotel du Pont Vieux, au pied de la Cité Médiévale

Hotel du Pont Vieux, au pied de la Cité Médiévale

10/10 Excellent
"Location was just brilliant. Staff were so helpful and accommodating. Our room on the top floor was perfect, with an amazing view of the cite. The rooftop terrace was also wonderful. Stairs to get up there are steep and numerous, but there’s a comfy bed when you reach the room though! Welcome drinks were such a lovely surprise too. We will return to see the cite, and will probably stay here again. Loved it"
