"We have just returned from our second stay at this wonderful property in Saint Seurin de Palenne, and it was every bit as perfect as the first. We were two adults and two teenagers (14 and 17), and from the moment we arrived, the welcome was exceptional.Tim and Vanessa, who live next door, could not have been more helpful or friendly. They greeted us warmly, remembered us from our previous visit, and left thoughtful welcome gifts including wine, a couple of beers, and some lovely local treats....

"Claudie nous a accueilli très chaleureusement dans son gîte en nous expliquant toutes les fonctionnalités, et en nous préparant savons, shampoings, brosses a dents mais aussi corbeilles de douceur. Le gîte est très bien pourvu en matériel de cuisine, adapté aux grands groupes. Il y a aussi de nombreux éléments adaptés aux enfants (les nôtres se sont amusés comme des petits fous !). Le jardin est très bien agencé avec une grande table pour y manger tous ensemble et un grand jardin avec parc pour...

"The property is great and very interesting. There are no elevators to the 2nd floor, so if you have a big suitcase, you'll need to drag it up and down the stairs. The room was nice, but it smelled like mold. The bathroom shower did not have a separator, so the water goes everywhere. The bathroom door was difficult to close because of all the water that has been getting into the bottom of it (swelled up with time). Otherwise, the grounds are greatly maintained and beautiful. The property is on the river but does not offer any river views."

"Room and ensuite clean. Comfortable bed and very welcome and effective air-conditioning during excessively hot spell. Very good buffet breakfast which could be eaten outside on terrace with awning when weather permitting. Small but pleasant and helpful staff. Only downside perhaps was lack of outside space to sit"
