Merveilleux gîte à recommander

Excellent séjour, gîte bien situé entre les vallées du Lot et de la Dordogne, spacieux, très bien équipé, décoré avec goût, confortable, très propre et le tout sur un grand terrain clôturé sans vis-à-vis et bien orienté (soleil toute la journée) et au calme. Le centre du village est à 300 mètres (les différents pains du boulanger sont excellents). Accueil chaleureux de Corinne, pleine d'attentions. Merci pour les moments conviviaux que nous avons passé avec vous pendant ces 2 semaines. Nous avons pu faire du canoë sur le Lot et la Dordogne, visiter les nombreux châteaux "Bonaguil", "Biron", "Castelnaud", "Beynac" et "Fénélon" et villages ainsi que la jolie campagne autour de Villefranche du Périgord. Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte.

Bij onze aankomst stond de charmante eigenares ons op te wachten. En een fles wijn op de tafel zorgde ervoor dat we echt welkom waren. Een kleine rondleiding in de grote woning, maakte duidelijk dat alles tiptop in orde was en kraaknet. Alles wat een mens nodig heeft, was ook aanwezig. Het huis is zeer koel, zelfs met hoge temperaturen buiten. Opgelet, langs de zonnekant de luiken dicht doen in de namiddag is een must. Een zeer grote en afgesloten tuin, belangrijk voor kinderen, en plaats genoeg om de auto te parkeren. Een absolute aanrader voor iemand die van rust houdt. Mensen in de buurt die je nog begroeten. Corinne is een zalig mens die ons zelfs deed meegenieten van haar moestuin. Een top locatie.

De eigenaresse heeft ons prima geholpen toen we het niet konden vinden. We waren ook wat later, maar dat was geen probleem. Hele vriendelijke ontvangst! Het huis zag er keurig en schoon uit. Fijn dat alles gelijkvloers is en er is een heerlijke ruime tuin. Je auto kun je ook makkelijk kwijt. De bedden zijn wat aan de kleine kant, maar er waren 3 2-persoonsbedden voor een gezin van 4 dus dat was wel op te lossen. De eigenaresse reageerde snel op berichtjes en was heel behulpzaam. Je loopt zo het dorp in waar je onder andere een bakker, kleine supermarkt en een aantal restaurantjes hebt. Al met al een prima vakantie!!

Aankomst was goed geregeld, na telefonische voor-afspraak. De accommodatie ligt in een zeer rustig gebied, net boven het dorpje Villefranche-du-Perigord. Mooi uitzicht vanaf het terras. De tuin is enorm groot en afgebakend met hekwerk. Het dorp zelf heeft twee supermarktjes, drie restaurants en een café. Verder twee bakkers, waarvan er een op zondag open is. Er is ook een eerste-hulppost aanwezig in het dorp. Met kerst en oud/nieuw zijn alle restaurants gesloten, houdt daar rekening mee. Het huis is groot en telt drie mooie slaapkamers. De douche en het toilet zijn schoon, zoals het hele huis. De keuken is volledig ingericht. Wasmachine en vaatwasser zijn aanwezig. Het huis wordt elektrisch verwarmd. Hout (voor de open/gesloten haard) is tegen betaling verkrijgbaar. De tv kende enkel Franse kanalen. Na overleg met de eigenaresse wordt er aan gewerkt om ook Hotbird en Astra te installeren. Al met al een super keuze! Huisdieren zijn niet toegestaan.
