"Tamas and his family were amazing hosts. I was travelling solo and arrived on Easter Sunday. When I go to the train station and nearby town, everything was closed. The host arranged for a taxi to pick me up, they drove me to and from dinner so I didn’t have to walk in the rain and then they drove me to see the Lascaux IV cave. "Room was lovely. Spacious and warm. Bathroom could have been cleaned a bit better. Car access was interesting to say the least. Room 800m from reception on a tiny road. Need to car to go shopping, get food, etc. Met the owner at breakfast (which was great) and very friendly. Little hard to find."

"Frank and his wife are creating a peaceful beautiful B&B. The breakfast consists of homemade yogurt and preserves along with fresh croissants and/or baguette with fruit. Frank will prepare whatever cafe you wish with his deluxe machine. Our room was over the garden and filled with birds chirping in the morning. All delightful. "

"The Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat. We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. All rooms had a separate outside sitting area with a large table. It had a good sized pool, a separate communal cooking and dining area, including a gas BBQ and a fridge. A great continental breakfast was provided that included fresh pastries from the local bakery, and a selection of local jams, cheeses and meats....

"Set in quiet countryside but close to le Bugue and Limeuil. Nicholas and Michel are great hosts and will be a loss to the area when they move to Bordeaux next year. The pool is clean and it's nice to find one with a proper deep end. The rooms are nicely decorated and well appointed. The food is wonderful. "

"The location is excellent, parking available away from lodge but an easy walk. Breakfast was great with different pastry every day. A fridge is available for you to keep some of your own "snack" food and what not. I have recommended this place to friends."

"Our hosts could not have been nicer or more charming! The breakfast was truly stunning each day as well. We loved Jungle, the welcome dog on site too! One thing to know is the bathtub/shower is uniquely French (a beautiful whirlpool tub with hand sprayer but no shower stall). It is very common in Europe, but good to know! 😜 We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back!"

"We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
