This boutique hotel is perfectly positioned right on the old Venetian harbour. The breakfast was great, but don’t make the mistake we did. We were used to having unlimited coffee at our place in Athens, but when we ordered a second cappuccino we were charged over €5 each for them. No one explained that we would be charged, but it wasn’t a big deal. Just something to be aware of. We had room V (5) and although it overlooked the little, inner courtyard, it suited our needs perfectly. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was also spotless, and updated, with plenty of hot water. The staff were all amazing as well. The young lady serving breakfast, was so sweet, as was Eva, the manager. When I explained we wouldn’t be having breakfast the next day, as we were leaving early to hike the Samaria Gorge, she offered to pack us a lunch to go. Yogourt, apples, bananas, pears and sandwiches. So thoughtful, and very much appreciated! We thoroughly enjoyed the food on our hike, the perfect thing! Sklavenitis is a short walk away, past the old moat, as is the KTel bus station. Such a convenient location. Stay here, and enjoy your time in Chania. You won’t regret it.
