On the terraces, you can relax and enjoy the view of the countryside. The location is ideal for active holidays and exploring the surrounding area. In Vodnjan, you can visit the Basilica of St Blaise, which boasts the tallest church tower in Istria and a large collection of mummies. From the waterfront promenade of nearby Fažana, a small fishing village, tourist boats depart daily for Brijuni National Park. If you head further west from Vodnjan, you’ll be greeted by the beautiful town of Rovinj and its picturesque old town. To the east, you’ll find numerous bays with beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters. If you head south, you’ll arrive in Pula, home to many historical monuments, such as the Roman amphitheatre. To the north, you’ll find picturesque medieval villages such as Motovun, which hosts an international film festival every year at the end of July. As you drive along the Istrian peninsula, you’ll come across many wine routes and local taverns offering regional specialities. The house is a good base from which to discover local traditions and customs.
